Ainsty Ales Brewery & Taproom

About Ainsty Ales Brewery & Taproom

Our award-winning York brewery is inspired by the medieval 'York & Ainsty Wapentake', former York Policeman Andy Herrington established Ainsty Ales Brewery & Taproom in 2014 and was born and raised in the immediate area, Andy continues to live there today and this is where Ainsty Ales Brewery is now located. Practice makes perfect. With 12 months of research, almost a lifetime of beer ‘tasting' & many hours' home-brewing, Andy has concocted his own core-ale range for Ainsty Ales Brewery. Our ethos . . . to produce great beers collaborating with local businesses & charities along the way! Small yet mighty. Our eclectic range of craft ales are all brewed on a working-farm in York by our dedicated brewing team. We brew in small batches with only the finest ingredients to ensure that we get the taste just right every single time. Available in cask, keg, can & 4 Pint Growlers! , our ales are made to be enjoyed! Our 10 bbl. Microbrewery is capable of producing over 6000 casks annually, with the capability of easily doubling that if needed. We have a cracking little Taproom which is very well supported by the local community. Ainsty Ales is the joint founder and main sponsor of Coptoberfest Charity Beer Festival.
