Great to see Eastbourne Airbourne 2018 making the #AdventCalendar on day 16! Thank you ✈️😍

User

We are delighted to announce that we picked up a bronze medal last night at the 2018 Beautiful South Tourism Awards in the Festival of the Year category! #BSTA2018
We hope to see many of you back on the Eastbourne seafront between 15-18 August for Airbourne 2019!

We can confirm the RAF Red Arrows will be missing Airbourne 2019, along with all UK airshows from the end of July through to September due to their largest ever tour of North America. We wish the team well in this exciting new tour, and look forward to welcoming them back to Eastbourne in 2020.
The Airbourne team have in fact been planning for this eventuality for a little while now, and are working with the RAF, civilian display teams and international military to provide an exciting flying line-up for Eastbourne in 2019. Airbourne 2019 takes place 15-18 August ✈️🔴🇺🇸

Yesterday we had the pleasure of presenting the cheques to our worthy charities & good causes with the money raised from your fantastic donations at this year's Airshow!
An amazing £2,795.36 was raised for each charity - Chestnut Tree House, Citizens Advice Eastbourne and Charlies Challenge (Brain Tumour Research)
A massive THANK YOU to everyone who donated not only raising money for these charities but also helping to keep Airbourne flying!
... A special thanks also to the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour and Rotary Club of Hailsham for all their hard work in coordinating the collections.

Congratulations to Luke from Sevenoaks who scooped the top prize of a Citizen Red Arrows watch in our 100 Prize Draw at Airbourne. The prize was kindly donated by local Eastbourne jewellers W. Bruford.

We have a winner!!
Thanks to all those that had a go at guessing how many bricks were used to make this year's super cool LEGO ® brick Ace the AirBear. He was built with 1,123 bricks!
We had two winners who were just 13 bricks out so we picked the final name from a hat. Congratulations Suzanne Dray - you've won! 😁🎉

#ThrowbackThursday to Sunday's fabulous firework finale sponsored by local company Frontier Fireworks! Despite some low cloud the airshow still went out with a bang! 🎆 We'll see you next time 15 - 18 August 2019 ✈✨

Our friendly mascots were busy bears this year collecting your kind donations! 🐻💫 We decided to put Ace & Aimee head to head to see which bear could raise more money to keep the Airshow flying and support our three local charities.
After four days of bear hugs, stickers, selfies and hi-fives - the final count is in...
Aimee helped raise an amazing £126.28 but Ace managed to beat the donation score with a huge £197.03 collected in his bucket over the four days! Huge thanks to all that donated - final donation count coming soon!! ❤

User

We loved seeing the Red Arrows mark 100 years of the RAF with their tail smoke during their display on Friday - and what an iconic moment it was! 🎉
We're also celebrating RAF100 with our 100 Prize Draw! Remember if you have a programme there's still time to enter your code online for a chance to WIN this year's amazing prizes. Entries close tomorrow at midnight!

Thank you to all of the emergency services that make Eastbourne Airbourne a safe and enjoyable place for all to visit. Thank you for all that you do for us. 🚨

User

Sorry to say due to very poor visibility OTTO was unable to safely continue its display and FireFlies are also now cancelled. Fireworks will still go ahead at 10pm!

User

An event like Airbourne doesn’t just happen and some of the greatest unsung heroes of Airbourne are the fantastic team keeping Eastbourne clean whilst hundreds of thousands of people enjoy the show! A massive THANK YOU to you all ❤️

User

We went on Friday this year. Have been going for the last 5 years. Not one of the main days but still great, even though the BBMF had to cancel. Only criticism I have is the very poor catering vans . ( awful quality food and very costly) Would be great to get a much varied selection. Well done though to all the organisers and volunteers. Thank you.

User

We used to come every year, but things got in the way, so we stopped coming, but finally this year we came back. It's been 10 years and we have been out over the last 3 days enjoying the flying, it's just as good as when we used to come. The atmosphere is just amazing and the flying of the aircraft's are amazing too. We are so glad that we have come back to this amazing show.

User

Thank you Eastbourne Airbourne.... it's been so much fun this year.. well done everyone. Also a big thank you for the heightened security, to make us all feel safer. We keep coming year after year and it just gets better and better. Come on everyone ... donate those notes and coins to keep this wonderful free event going . See you next year 😄✈️

User

My first Airshow and now I am hooked. Amazing flying, great atmosphere, everything was fantastic. My first time in Eastbourne as well, will definitely return to Eastbourne and the Airshow. Well done to all who made it so great. Thank you so much! 😁

User

It was a really great day. Saw the aircraft that we wanted to, such as the Chinook, Typoon, F16 and Catalina. Weather remained hot during the flying display on Sunday. And, it was all Free. Will definitely go again.

User

I brought my daughter down yesterday and we had a fabulous day, gutted to have missed the red arrows, would be great to have the line up on ur website, but the stalls were fab the people on them were friendly and informative and the aircrafts were unbelievable my 4 year old was blown away ! Definitely coming next year with more friends

User

Had a fantastic weekend at the airshow, great commentary and lots to see and do. Great range of aircraft, loved them all but especially the Red Arrows and the fast, very noisy jets. Also lovely to see some old war planes. Great job on another successful airshow.

User

Fantastic display of aircraft. Well organized and the commentary great when we got near enough to Eastbourne Pier to hear it.

Loads of food and drink stalls.

A few more toilets would be good.

Other than that Great.

User

Fantastic day. The weather, the people and the show was awesome. Where else can you have alfresco dining at a restaurant by the beach watching an air show? I had been V.I.P. enclosure before and that's also great, but this year was a last minute thing. Keep up the good work guys we will always be coming back.

User

Fantastic day out!

The weather was amazing all afternoon for a spectacular show, that was truly brilliant!!

Loving the Red Arrows,

and all that came in between,

ending with the mighty F16!!

still my favourite! What a finale!

Fantastic Weekend,

Thankyou Eastbourne

we'll be back next Year PG! Xxx

User

Fabulous day yesterday! Just hope that the weather improves today. The Red Arrows were amazing, and the excellent commentary added to the excitement!

User

Brilliant air show, great day. Just need a few more big jets!!

User

Amazing event , brilliant airshow

The Red Arrows

Thank you Eastbourne airbourne !

User

Always love seeing the Red Arrows, had to watch from Langney Point so of course missed the best moves..popped back in afternoon and saw the noisy planes which are brilliant, it was rounded off by the amazing fireworks despite get soaked in the process .. feel sure though that maybe Thursday could be dropped if it saved costs..great no seafront parking charges..

User

Always a fantastic weekend. Can’t wait for August.

User

Absolutely amazing event . I love it so much, I willingly get up at 4.30am so that I can pick up my mum by 6am and then my sister and her family by 7am. Coffee and a sausage bap enroute to wake up the gang and arrive at 8ish.

I am disabled and find it so helpful that an area is cordoned off for blue badge holders.

The show itself is always out of this world, the fact that it is free amazes me.....where else can you go for such a fab day out for the cost of simply putting a few quid donation in a bucket ?!

I would recommend this day to everyone young and old . Then after the show there's still so much to do . I haven't managed to stay for the fireworks as yet but again .....you don't get to see a display for free very often do you?!

Can't wait for next year ......I will start getting excited around March 2018!! Same as always!!

User

Superb couple of days spent at Airborne. Some nice sunshine to be had too! A wonderful experience all round, sadly the aircraft line-up for the flying display wasn't the best. However! This was recovered by the displays from the Belgian F16 & on Friday's event his wingman too!

User

Not a bad show but the lack of the centre peice Battle of Britain flights on engine issues was a joke when other planes also equipped with aging merlin engines flew! Perhaps attract some older passenger planes jets etc to broaden the appeal past military aircraft, as everyone has flown on commercial stuff that's just been replaced and disappeared, be great to see them in the air. There was also a shortage of public toilets created massive Ques.

User

I agree with the others too bigger gap from when airshow finishes too the firework planes and then another hour and half till the fireworks, can't see why fireworks wasnt done after the planes at 8.30pm long time waiting around with kids with nothing to do, we left before fireworks, better planning needed and more options for food with that amount of people present would be good, we went off to a pub for dinner and came back for firework planes but couldn't be bothered to wait till 10pm for fireworks with nothing to do
