AJ sport wants to encourage young people to become more active. It gives the opportunity to meet new friends, have fun as well as learn new sport skills.

AJ Sport is now a CIC (Community Interest Company) after previously operating as a community group since January 2016. We are a sport academy created to interact with young people, we are based in Lenton Abbey park at the 'PAVILION'. Our aim is to encourage young people to become more active and provide them with an opportunity to have fun and build friendships while learning valuable skills through sport.

There are many benefits for children that begin to take part in sports from a young age. It helps with their concentration, improves their attitude, builds confidence and in some cases instils discipline and improves their contribution at school.

Here at AJ Sport we have a strong background specifically in football and we would like to pass on the knowledge we have gained to as many kids as we can reach. We want to help kids realise and fulfil their potential through guidance and mentoring.

We run football developments sessions across Nottingham i. e Forest Sports Zone, Chilwell Olympia, Lenton Abbey Park, Wollaton Park and University Of Nottingham.
More sessions to added before the end of they year.

Within our first year we managed to secure Trials at Nottingham Forest and Derby Football Club for players that were excelling at our private development sessions. We aim to provide more opportunities in and out of the UK as we develop the business.

The outcome will support young people to understand the importance of sport. It will tackle obesity and increase their wellbeing as well as increase their chances of higher education and pre-employment /self-employment. Moreover, it will develop a greater sense of personal and social fulfilment.
