Akuapem Renaissance Trust

We are a young charity, created with the aim of promoting the education of children and young adults in Ghana to improve social mobility, especially in the most deprived regions of the country. We want to achieve this by extending access to quality education and taking measures to improve quality through teacher training. We believe that improving education is key to alleviating poverty, creating a fairer, more cohesive society, and improving the lives of future generations and of the country as a whole. Education can work to address the problems in Ghana in a way that upholds and strengthens the dignity of those in need while providing a long-term and lasting action to help address many of the challenges the country faces. Our focus at the start is on extending access to good quality education in the area of Akuapem; and on funding or otherwise helping teacher training schemes, training establishments, etc. in the hope of improving the education that most people already have access to.
