With going to Morocco regularly the food is of quality that u get there. Absolutely wonderful food and desserts to die for. Management could do with some customer service training but overall brilliant experience been twice already

User

The food was gorgeous and the staff so friendly and helpful, will definitely return for more and would recommend it. The menu is very diverse and should please most people's taste.

Me & My boyfriend went here on the off chance of getting a table; had to wait outside while they checked which was a bit odd but we soon forgot about that as the food was incredible! My boyfriend is mixed Anglo-Asian so we know good middle eastern food and this was

Loved the little sparkler in my mocktail too

Will definitely be returning!

P.S. It's cash only so make sure you draw some out beforehand!

Lovely decor, delicious food made from quality ingredients (the ice cream is delicious not the poor quality ice cream you usually get at buffets ) , good variety of dishes , we took both our families here for our twins first birthday and everyone loved the food . Thank you to the staff for making our twins birthday so special.

User

Brought my husband here for his birthday, amazing food and environemnt. We both loved it and will definately be going again soon. Was greated at the door with dates and water. All buffet food was delicious, decor and abience beautiful. Will definitely recommend

User

went there as a family with 2 children . the waiters were friendly and helpful . the food was better than i expected . plenty of options for children . my favourite dish was the lamb shank and prune tagine.every chicken dish was tasty.

the buffet corner is small but neat and tidy . some dishes were a little too salty.

i would definitely go again.

Went here for the first time this evening with a large group of friends. Nice warm welcome, lovely decor and good choice of excellent quality food. I particularly enjoyed the chicken tikka (succulent and full of flavour), a tasty vegetable curry with sweet peppers and cauliflower and lovely fresh salad options: I waddled home absolutely stuffed. The menu is VERY GOOD value for money... I've had much poorer quality buffet meals for twice the price. I would've given 5 stars if it wasn't for some minor niggles: the seating is rather cramped, the food collection queue is a bit chaotic (but maybe that can't be avoided with the size/layout of the building) and there's no indication of how spicy the dishes are (which meant I had to leave a couple of things I'd picked because they were too hot). Overall though, I would like to thank the restaurant for a great evening and would happily recommend the place to anyone!

User

Really impressive frontage on the high street. Our first impressions were good, although the door was locked which was a little odd. Mint tea was served on our arrival.

The food is Indian, Chinese and Moroccan influenced. The usual buffet fayre with the addition of some Tagine dishes for the nod at Morocco, but oddly no couscous to accompany those.

There was shepherds pie too, chips, chicken nuggets and Spaghetti bolognese for the kids, if they aren't the adventurous type.

For desert there was a selection of what I thought were homemade cheesecake type creations, three chocolate fountains with marshmallows and fresh strawberries to dip. There was also a selection of ice creams which were served in the style of an ice cream shop, however to my (albeit untrained) eye the Ice cream appeared to have been refrozen many times, and was possibly cheap vanilla ice cream with the flavours added in house.

We all thought the food was OK however some of the dishes were a little too salty for our taste, on the upside it was fresh and the presentation was good.

The restaurant is apparently unlicensed water and soft drinks were available but pricey at £2.95 for a glass of 7up or Cola. Non alcoholic wine and mocktails were also on offer.

The service was OK, rather slow getting our drinks but polite. 6.5/10.

User

Not impressed sorry. The menu on the website looked so appealing but the sight and taste of the food didn't match. Most of the food had gone and we had to wait for it to be re-plenished. Lovely decor and friendly staff but was very crowded and in my opinion like a cattle market with people pushing and shoving to get their food with little consideration for others waiting. Went because I had bought a Groupon voucher so paid a reasonable price for reasonable food altho I only liked a few dishes. I won't be going again.

User

My first impression from outside was good, we were early for our booking which meant that we had to wait outside with a large number of children and a toddler, not ideal at all. Once inside the place looked too compact, there was a good choice food wise although a few of the trays were empty and it seemed to take forever for them to be refilled. The food was average not spicy enough for me but it was fine for the children, desserts were nice and plentiful much to the children's delight. Considering how much I paid for the evening, as I got the offer from Groupon, I do not think that I would pay full price to eat here again. Staff are polite but very slow and not all speak much English.

User

I was really disappointed to be honest 😔 from the pictures it looks really big and spacious and it wasn't!!, it was really small and badly laid out, not enough staff to clear the tables, and wasn't enough food choice or much choice for kids apart from chips. It's cash only which is strange. The small selection of food that they did have was nice but I definitely won't go again.

User

What an absolutely shocking, rude and arrogant service at the door, some little shit of a kid thinks he's the boss with his stupid pathetic tablet, thinking he's sooo the boss!!! With his stupid walkie talkie, like a bafoon!! 9 of us girls bought groupon vouchers and booked for 10, for 6.30. This guy rings us 10 mins before our booking saying he is confirming, but then says its not booked for us!!! we already travelled to Manchester for it so we decided to turn up, only to have us turned away and not have our booking and table till 8!!! The guy at the door was extremely rude, obnoxious, arrogant and inhospitable!!! He was going on with himself and not letting us speak or say anything and the entrance is not welcoming at all!!!! There is no reception area for people to wait. Will not be going there or recommending this place with anybody!! And that is not me!!

User

Went last night .

Showed to a table and left their ..

No drinks menu we had no idea how the place worked .

Had to ask for a drink ..i asked for salt 3 grown men didnt understand me ..then i was brought a dish off salt ????

Dishes were empty..dessert fridge was empty .

No customer service at all .

We honestly felt because we was a white couple we didnt get welcomed at all .

I had half plate off food .

Flys in the salad ..needs to be covered up probably

On the way out i told him what i thought .he said oh well we been busy. We were only customers in the resturant for half a hour i timed it ...we spent 40 mins in this place waste off time. Honestly applaud by this place

User

We came to the restaurant at 5:00 p.m as it it opend at this time. One of the workers said it is not opened before 6:00 p.m. We had been waiting for an hour and when we came back at 6:00 p.m, tge waiter said we are sorry you should reserve first and we open at 7:00 p.m. That was the second time I came to the restaurant and had a bad experience. No value of food if there is no service.

User

One of the worst resturent i have ever been. Some of the curry smells very bad. Once my husband imformed them they changed the curry after 30mins and apologies. Not many option to eat. Small place. Never going back .

User

I had several visits to Al-Jumariah so far. Mostly before they moved from the previous location. Poor experience since they moved and change of management.

Few points I'd like to make

1. The food is good but shocking and rude service. (Hamdi to be very specific).

2. The website gives telephone number but no one picks up. When asked the management they said it's for suppliers and voice mail informs so!!?? . No where in website it states that the number is for suppliers and no voice mail to confirm it's for suppliers. Why lie?

3. Unless you have bought vouchers from Groupon; it's cash in hand !! (Card machine never works. Also confirmed by few friends) had 26 peoples booking and had to pay cash!!! and so far I haven't been given any VAT receipt after several request. I wonder how HALAL the business is.

4. When waited for "Lamb Tagine" for good 5-10 minutes and asked the management; no apologies but been asked I have to wait in a very rude way.

5. The Groupon vouchers are for off peak and peak times but no term and conditions to confirm the off peak or peak times. When asked management no specific answers were given and been very rude.

6. When 2/3 of my guests sat down (out of 26); we've been asked to move tables. We've been asked to empty the tables before my guests finished the food.

7. If anything goes wrong there's no one to complain to. The management (Hamdi) is always rude and gets angry when there's a logical question to be answered.

User

I had booked the table for two today at 5.45 as the restaurant opens 5 pm . We knocked the door because that what we had to do last time as well . No one opened we called the number written on the door and on the website no one answered. Then my husband called them via fb. And they said thry were closed and they dont know when its opening !!! This is really bad customer service .we booked it last week .They should have send an email a day before or two . The guy on fone said they'd sent a message today but we didnt get any messages. We stood outside hungry and disappointed. Al jumeirah should mention thi on their website or fb page so people dont waste their time fuel and money getting there

I came to this restaurant last night with my friend. I found the behaviour of the doorman very odd, he asked if we had bookings, but it looked like he was about to shut the door on us waiting for us to say no!! Only when we said yes we do did he seem to open the door and let us in! Once seated we were not given mint tea upon arrival. I noticed however that all the white guests who came before or after us where given mint tea but not us (we are Asian), he even went round with his tea pot ensuring they had tea, but not us which I found very rude. Also no one came to ask us what we wanted to drink and we had to grab the attention of the waiter ourselves and tell him what we wanted to drink. When we got up to get food, we were told we had to wait as it wasn’t time for food yet (on your website is says you open from 5, this happened at 6.30!!). The food was very ordinary and not much variety in it. Some food was placed in tajines, but that didn’t make it Moroccan. All in all I must say I am extremely disappointed with the service in this restaurant. I had planned on bringing my family here which is why I came to try it out with my friend first, but the service was very poor and I don’t think I want to bring my family here.

Half the phone numbers no longer work, the mobile number that does is answered by someone who sounds like he couldn't care less. No greeting just 'Hi'. Booked a table, turned up and restaurant closed. One of us had booked and another of us called to confirm the buffet was on. No mention of the restaurant being closed. Called while stood outside to be told we're closed for renovation. I said we're outside and was told it's bookings only at the moment. I said that we did book and he said give me your number and i'll call you back. Guess what? He didn't call back. Shockingly bad customer service, very disinterested. Lost a fairly regular customer.
