Al Madad Foundation Description
Al Madad Foundation is a UK registered charity committed to the promotion of literacy and education for disadvantaged children across the Middle East.
Through our local partnerships, multimedia artistic expression, intercultural dialogue, educational projects and events we engage international actors to join us in developing and supporting programs to emancipate and empower those most vulnerable and excluded.
START was founded by Al Madad Foundation in 2006, in partnership with Art Dubai, and seeks to educate and empower children through artistic expression. It runs full time art workshops in the UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and most recently, India, reaching over 736 disabled and disadvantaged children per week. International artists are encouraged to volunteer in the field of humanitarian aid and art education by participating in the workshops.

Security concerns in the #Bekaa Valley mean that staff at the CLC are regularly in touch with the municipality and security in the area. In recent days, some pupils have been dismissed early to ensure they get home safely. Staff continue to take all necessary security measures.

This #WorldRefugeeDay we are asking you to remember that just because a child has seen despair it doesn’t mean that they can’t recognise hope. Walking into his school, taking his seat in class, eating his lunch with his friends- you can provide a ‘normal’ day for a child whose daily life could be anything but. #recognisehope
A beautiful picture from one of our pupils at the CLC #EidMubarak Al Madad Foundation would like to wish everyone celebrating Eid al-Fitr a joyous and peaceful culmination of the holy month.
