Sectarian extremist mosque:

I went here a while back to pray as a Shia Muslim. Some security guard called Khalid (an Egyptian) stood in front of me whilst I prayed, stopped my prayer and took my turbah that I was praying on. He then started threatening me with violence and said 'no Shias allowed'. Despite me trying to speak in a calm manner, I was still shown aggressive and intimidating behaviour. To be fair, one member of the congregation disagreed with his behaviour, however it's shocking how their mosque can employ some one like this. They are living in the U.K yet display such behaviour?! I will later post a picture of this security guard so others can beware of him.

I liked it because it was open, i've been to a few places that says they were open but closed really. The mosque was nice and clean and had a nice women's section.

One of my favourite mosques in my favourite weekend destinations in London. There is enough place during normal prayers but might get crowded during Jumma prayers. But there are two jamaats every jumma one at 1:30 and another at 2:30 - so that's great. There are eating places outside the mosque on the street that are fantastic. So next time you are hanging around by the Brighton beach and need to go offer your prayers - don't hesitate.
