Update - re theft at Jummah
This matter has been resolved following a police investigation. The money has been returned to the masjid and we have been keen to take a restorative approach. We would ask people not to get involved in this matter as it has been dealt with. God is merciful and forgiving, it is not for us or members of the public to start behaving like judge and jury. Please can we ask people to not interfere with this matter any further and cause distress to people's family members and the community at large. Please share this message with others.

Theft at Jummah prayers
At the end of the Jummah prayers today our members noticed that some money that had been donated by our attendees had suddenly disappeared from the collection box. We checked CCTV and identified a male who on 3 occasions placed his hand in the collection box and took cash out. This male has been reported to the police who will take necessary action.
We pray that Allah guides him. If he is in need then we hope that he will seek help. If he has taken an opportunity that presented itself then we pray he seeks forgiveness for his actions. We would ask people not to share pictures or videos and instead allow the police to investigate.
