Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust International (AMWT) is a registered non-government organisation (NGO) working on a non-profit basis whose aim is to alleviate poverty and provide medical and social development assistance to the poor and vulnerable around the world. Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust International provides a wide range of services and reaches people in remote and farthest areas of the world. We have built and run 10 purpose built hospitals in Pakistan. We also provide and run welfare agencies, schools for the poor /orphan children, women's centres, dowry funds for the poor /young children, monetary benefits for the poor, funeral buses, free pharmacies, ambulance service and many more supportive projects to help people survive and excel in their lives and eradicate poverty. We place special focus on "empowering" poor women, who equipped with the proper resources, have the power to help whole families and entire communities escape poverty. Women are at the heart of AMWT's community-based enterprise projects whose goal is to improve basic education, prevent the spread of diseases, increase access to clean water and sanitation, expand economic opportunity and protect natural resources.
