Asalaam alaykum wa rahmatullah
Welcome to Al Qalam Calligraphy. We are Asif and Asma, a husband and wife team from Nottingham, who provide a service for personalised art requests. Asif is the calligrapher and Asma is the designer and all our work is authentic and unique to the ideas that we create.
We specialise in Arabic Calligraphy, in particular the Naskh and Thuluth Script. All our work is created by hand, from scratch using traditional as well as modern methods.
In the world of modern technology and arabic typography software, we are slowly seeing the death of traditional Islamic art as we see it. For 1433 Islam was preserved by the pen (al Qalam) and we have a desire to revive this ancient and blessed art form that has left many a generation mesmorised by its stunningly intricate beauty.
Further to this, we also do English calligraphy and personalised requests.
