Commissioning professional photography is an investment. I acknowledge this upfront by collaborating with clients to ensure that return on investment (ROI) is maximized. First and foremeost I am a photographer. , but I am also a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Manager; I understand buildings and I understand client business needs. While I specialize in architectural photography, I am active across most genres. I photograph buildings in isolation, and in their wider urban context. I look for unique angles and architectural detail to bring out the best from a shoot. Most importantly, I produce images that meet the client's requirements. Light and shadow play an essential part in any photograph, and architecture is no different. I therefore consider time, and angles of sunlight and shadow when planning and preparing for a shoot. I produce fine art architectural images, as well as the more documentary records, including verified view, often required by project teams. I photograph cityscapes, roofscapes, streetscapes; industrial installations, indeed any aspect of the built environment, including the end-of-use phase of urban decay, I also undertake commercial work in the form of product photography, environmental portraits, corporate and cinematic headshots, travel, wildlife, and macro photography. I hold an MA in Photography from Falmouth University, and an Associate distinction from the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).
