The land involved is a series of strips of ground around our factory at Kings Cross, strips that can be found on most industrial estates in the country. The first piece of land we transformed was a strip alongside the rail tracks running north from St Pancras Station. I can stand by the beehives and watch the high-speed trains leave for Paris and Brussels. This strip is now a permaculture forest garden growing a huge variety of food. To use David Holgrens definition it is a "Consciously designed landscape which mimics the patterns and relationships found in nature, while yielding an abundance of food, fibre and fuel for provision of local needs".
We also have a small vineyard growing grapes for wine so we can both drown our sorrows and celebrate with Chateau Kings Cross.
There is an orchard with about forty fruit trees including apples, cherries, plums, pears, damson, quince and meddler.
There are also some raised beds for use by community groups and other pieces of ground starting to come into use, one of which has some apricot trees and Japanese wine berry growing on it.

The Harvest Party is a fun annual event celebrating nature and the community with live music, a bonfire, drinks and delicious organic food. The event is organised by the Camley Street Neighbourhood Forum, taking place at the grounds of Alara Wholefoods.

organic scottish oats granola is so tasty. tried it with water and with milk and it is delicious either way. very filling and keeps my energy levels up all morning. love the generous helpings of almonds especially!

Absolutely delicious.

I was excited to try Alaras gluten free Scottish oats with fruits and seeds. The flavour over all was great for a gluten free prouct but it was severey lacking in texture. It really needs some nuts or bigger seeds to give it some crunch. I also felt that there wastoo much fruit in the mixture for my liking.

It is great that I can compose my own muesli on your website. But not when I asked for advice and get a sample of popcorn for 200 pounds... It was not even worth to watch a movie with this not chewable puffy buckwheat. Alara does not even refund the money.



So if you are looking for hard stuffing to fill up your pillow and are willing to pay 200 pounds for it, than you should definitely ask Alara!
