Albury Vineyard Description
Albury Organic Vineyard is situated on the southern slopes of the North Downs in the beautiful Surrey Hills, just outside Guildford on the A25 towards Dorking.
The vineyard is open for tastings and sales on Saturdays, and some Sundays and bank holidays (check website). Vineyard tours run between May and September each year (book online at www. alburyvineyard.com)
The vines are the traditional Champagne varietals of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier as well as some Seyval and Pinot Gris. We produce still and sparkling wine of the highest quality; our wines have now won numerous international awards and are served at some of the country's best restaurants.
We are committed to producing organic fruit without the use of chemicals such as herbicides and fungicides. Whilst copper and sulphur are permitted in organic vineyards we minimise their use. We also use compost teas, which improve the biology of the soil and biodynamic preparations. We believe that this approach, encouraging the natural biology of the land, will produce premium fruit and therefore great wine.
The vineyard is privately owned by Nick Wenman who lives in Albury near to the vineyard. It is managed by Alex Valsecchi who until recently was at at RHS Wisley responsible for the Orchard, Nursery, Model Fruit Area and the Vineyard. Alex has extensive experience in Vineyard Management having created the vineyard at Wisley following several years practical experience working on vineyards in New Zealand.

we enjoyed the scenery and a very informative tasting of four wines.....so good we couldnt leave without a couple of bottles to take home.....one of which was empty before end of day.
We really enjoyed our tour at Albury Vineyard; Nick was an affable and informative host and drinking the wine whilst looking out at the vines from which it was made was a great experience!
We had a lovely afternoon at the vineyard yesterday, a nice tour round, a lovely lunch and some great wine to taste.
We called in to sample the wine and were given the warmest of welcomes. Fascinating place, great wine and well worth a visit.
Visited yesterday just after a walk round silent pool ( it's been a few years) and didn't realise this was one . Great little spot and was so nice to relax in the sun sampling some of the wines and a cheese taster board.
Lovey feel, great wine, friendly lady's working there and their dog was awesome.

Lucky enough to spend the afternoon here yesterday. Some amazing wines to sample for the grown ups whilst the children thoroughly enjoyed an easter bunny hunt and crafts. Brilliantly organised event and the wines are outstanding. Will definitely be recommending. Thank you.
Had an excellelent tour around the vineyard yesterday curtesy of our son for my husbands birthday treat. We live nearby and had never visited but we will be back. Dominic who was our guide was brilliant and all the staff very polite and helpful. Thank you for a lovely morning.

Great organic vineyard, just a small operator and could have done with more than just two staff on a bank holiday but great friendly service nonetheless and a beautiful place to chill drinking quality wines 😀!

Fab place, great wines! We had a tasting and a meat and cheese platter with it which was really nice.
Highly recommend trying the wines, and they let dogs in!
