Wonderful for everyone to enjoy innovative great food (vegan, veggie, lactose-intolerant, meat eaters) without anyone having to compromise. Charming passionate staff. Loved it.

What can I say? Food is amazing; wine matched to each course (if you go for a tasting menu) is amazing and service is fantastic! We will fine here again and probably again! Highly recommend Alchemilla. Gorgeous food and wine and simply wonderful staff.

We had an amazing meal here. The service was excellent and the staff attentive and observant. Our party of five had the Seven course taster menu, a mix of regular, vegetarian, and vegan courses. All were delicious and we had a memorable and enjoyable evening, the knowledgable staff explaining a number of food items and flavouring we’d not had before. A really nice experience with wonderful food in interesting surroundings.

We came for a meal on Wednesday to celebrate our anniversary. The waiting staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The meal was stunning and we can only apologise for having to speed the courses up because of our mismanagement of bus times ( only 1 back to the sticks!) of which they kindly obliged.

This is without doubt my favourite non-budget place to eat at. Fabulous food with a focus on natural, less meat and full-on flavour. Marvellous service in a formal but very friendly and welcoming environment, with extremely well designed decor to match. The wine list is great and sommeliers fabulous.

Having been multiple times, I can tell you every detail is consistent too.

The 10 course taster with the wine pairing is brilliant. I had a wonderful evening here last night with my Husband for my birthday. Highly recommend this place to all food lovers looking for a fine dining experience in Nottingham. The restaurant is beautifully set up and the staff are attentive and knowledgeable about what they’re selling.

Tip: Get the cheese! it’s worth it, even if they have to roll you out the door at the end of the night

Last minute decision to book for our ten year anniversary and I’m so glad we did! We opted for the 10 course taster menu with wine pairing and every dish and wine accompaniment worked together beautifully. Atmosphere and service was wonderful. Would definitely recommend

I want to complain - it was too tasty!

Our second visit last night did not disappoint. The 10 course menu had me die and go to heaven several times before the eagerly anticipated final savoury course was brought to our table by Alex Bond himself and Liam, his colleague. Our waiting staff were all spot-on too.

Reading the existing reviews on here, I wish we had considered the optional cheese course but by then I was already replete and a little languid.

I would like to dissect each dish minutely here, but as with any art, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Having dined here on numerous occasions the food never fails to impress and last night’s offering was no exception: the seven course menu flowed beautifully with the lamb and miso aubergine dish and the raspberry, basil and coffee dessert stealing the show! Alex and his team are friendly and attentive; providing a relaxed fine dining experience with passion and flair. See you soon guys! X

Fantastic food, friendly service, very relaxed atmosphere without compromising on excellent quality. We were a table of 4 and we opted for 10 course meal.. each dish was delicious and very carefully presented. All of the dishes had an element of surprise and definitely brought a smile to our faces. It won't be long until Alex and alchemilla are awarded a Michelin star. I'm not a huge dessert person but as I told Alex, the quality was better than Sat Bains. Well done all!

Fantastic evening. Loved the building. The food was ace, friendly staff and can't wait to go back. 7 course menu with a Turkish red wine and an Aussie dessert wine. 5 of the 7 courses were outstanding and the other 2 were really good.

Bought my husband the kitchen experience and he absolutely loved it - he learnt a lot and has already brought it to our kitchen so thank you Alex Bond!

We had the seven course taster which was wonderful, the staff were so lovely and I would definitely recommend it!

User

Amazing place. It has been fitted out and designed to the highest standard. Excellent vibe and service. My wife and I had the 10 course tasting menu and wine pairings and was worth every penny. With a few extra touches and tweaks I'm sure it won't be long before this place has a Michelin star. Alex Bond has done a fantastic job so far and I'm sure Alchemilla will go from strength to strength. We will definitely be booking again!

User

Amazing place I went last night with my husband, we had the 10 course tasting menu and pairing and it was fabulous. The staff couldn't do enough for us. I will defiantly be recommending to my friends and family.

User

Absolutely delish! we went for the 10 course & wine pairing, couldn’t recommend it more. Great service too!

A wonderful addition to the Nottingham restaurant scene. Very easy to book online. We did the 7 course tasting menu (one of which was vegetarian) with a cheese board and paired wines.

Excellent service throughout. Each dish was magnificent, good portions, and wine pairings complimented very well. The sourdough bread was delicious, as we as the cheeses incl some local.

A nice feel to the ambience and good decor.

Highly recommended.

A group of 6 of us attended on Saturday we did the 10 course plus cheese option with wine and port pairings and very much enjoyed the whole evening it was a great experience and staff were very attentive. Only comment is that the wine pairing was a nearly all white save for one red with the venison for the red wine connoisseur I would offer a slightly more balanced pairing, although a must add the wines offered were really good and from across the world which was great. Keep up the good work. We will come again when you new menu comes out.

My wife and I had lunch here today and it’s a really nice resturant which offers a taster style menu with wine pairings. I went for the 5 course offering (there’s also a 7 or 10 course option) and the restaurant were very good to cater to my pescatarian wife who selected 5 dishes from the 10 course option. The food was exquisitely cooked and presented. If there was a criticism, and it’s a very small one at that, it’s that the food tries just a little too hard sometimes. My starter of potato and herring roe was sublime, as was brill but the pork collar with turnip and apple, which should have been a winner, missed the mark in my opinion due to the fat not rendering down, so it was a bit pink and chewy. The puddings were excellent. To drink my wife had the house prosecco which was one of the nicest she’s had, and I had a couple of glasses of white from Le Marche region in Italy, whose name escapes me but was also superb.

A great foodie experience if you like very complex tiny dishes, but i think if you are going for the 10 course taster, make sure you book to eat earlier than 8pm.. we still had 3 courses to come by 11pm which started to feel too late to eat and enjoy the food.... also get the optional cheese course, as the portions really are quite tiny (especially for two hungry men) and this course fills you up a bit more... The staff service was really good and they happily accommodate any dish substitutions that you might need to make. It was good but for the price and the hype, it didnt quite live up to our expectations overall.
