Lovely fish being caught.
A wonderful Wyndham beauty, taken on a fine sunny afternoon.
First ever time on Wyndham and I get this beauty on the end of my rod words canโt describe how pleased I am..(18lb 5) ๐๐
Ian Whiting has had a great week, this week catching some stunning fish.
Shaneโs had a brilliant week, 10 fish, four twenties topped off by this magnificent 24 pound common.
Just to let you all know that the working party is going ahead tomorrow as planned. Season tickets can be paid for on the day. Please remember to bring two passport sized photos for the season ticket. Cheers Dave and Jayne
More fish from the Easter weekend.
Some fish from Easter weekend. Wyndham and Pads Lake both fishing very well.
What can I say this is a carp and fishing venue with a difference. Not only are the carp in excellent health and condition and stunning to look at, but the venue itself is also stunning with islands, channels and bays and abundant in wildlife.
Its a real credit to Dave who owns and runs the venue. Dave and his bailiffs have but great work into this Alderfen to make it what it is today. Well done boys.
Top venue great fish in all the lakes.. but the carp lake is stunning with stunning carp... ILL BE BACK

The place to be if your after a decent scrap!
Such a brilliant fishery, first time on the carp lake and wow! It was stunning! Carp are immaculate!! would recommend to anyone! Brilliant!
Nr1 nice and peaceful place for fishing love it
Not a hard water to fish, basic maggot attack. Sweet corn for the tench and bigger roach and carp.
Nice place with no screaming kids or radios blasting out.
Lovely place nice and quite well looked after. Fish are good looking and hard fighting but not easy to catch. Bailiffs nice guys always give advise where to go.
Great place,Pegs are decent size and well spread out and the bailiff is very helpful.Looking forward to the warmer weather
Good lakes and dave the owner is a very nice guy
Cracking venue, great owner, and some superb fish, A few sessions in order here this year
Beautiful water with Lovely looking Carp, well worth a trip ๐
Alderfen is one of the best fisheries i've been to, not easy but well worth trying beautiful surroundings, good pegs, great warden Dave and the fish are there it's up to you to put the bait where they are, good luck and tight lines
Alderfen in my opinion is one of the best fisheries around. It's tranquility an beautiful surroundings help you unwind while the quality of fish is second to none. Dave the owner is fantastic and always on hand to point you in the direction of a bite. I return year after year and will continue to do so for many years to come.
Absolutely fantastic venue,so peaceful and tranquil,A REAL GEM OF A PLACE!!! All the bailiffs (peanut included) are very knowledgeable and always willing to help and point you I the right direction. Its becoming a home from home for me and our lass ๏ฟฝ So a BIG THANK YOU to dave and family for being very welcoming and running a great fishery.
A lovely and peaceful place with an abundance of wildlife. Enjoyed every minute in a 48 hr stay and with the knowledge of the bailiff I managed to bank a new pb of 26lb 8oz . Thanks for a great fishing experience
Had a good weekend at alderfen dave and the bailiffs were friendly and helpful , we had 6 beautiful looking carp to 13lb from the middle lake will definitely be coming back ๐
Alderfen is one of those tucked away picturesque places. The fish aren't the laviathans you see in the magazines of today but they are absolutely stunning scaley pocket rockets. Alot of the swims are tucked away in the foliage and small trees making them very private. No need for 3 1/2 to rods here but strong tackle is recommended as they now we're sanctuary is. To surmise Alderfen is a little jem.
ALDERFEN FISHERIES REVIEW:
PROS:
1. Very scenic beautiful surroundings
2.Some decent fish in the lake with some nice lookers
CONS:
1. Crayfish
2.Poorly layed out swims. Only certain swims worth fishing , the back bay (deep bit) is almost always devoid of fish rendering the back pegs useless. So in effect if you aren't on point or on first couple of pegs of new side you are pissing in wind.
3. One of the most arrogant baliff's i've ever met (dave).
