Just had sofa's delivered. Man who bought them were great it was raining and they put carpet down and put clean shoes on as l have a cream carpet very helpful and friendly. Also when we went to buy the sofa's Julia the sales assistant was very helpful and friendly too great service thanks.

Apart from the fact that it’s one of my favourite stores anyway....! We came for afternoon tea with Santa and had a wonderful time. It was well organised with plenty to keep the children occupied. They loved it. We loved it. Would definitely come again next year �

Aldiss, the home of old fashioned customer service. Shame that is going out of the window with many companies. We bought a set of dining chairs, collected, took them home....each one had some damage or evidence of poor process. Phoned Aldiss than sent photos by e mail. No quibble replacements arranged with manufacturer. We had to wait several weeks for the re-order and Aldiss told us to bin the packaging and use the chairs in the meantime. We've had the replacements delivered (free) today. The delivery men unpacked them and gave us ample time to inspect the replacements before taking away the originals. Friendly, helpful, committed staff are the backbone of this company. Well done Aldiss!

Our first visit to Aldiss and worth the 90 min drive. We found several sofas we liked and found the sales staff really easy to talk to without feeling pushed into a sale. We were a little disappointed to have found our choice cheaper elsewhere but this was soon sorted out by Heidi in a very professional manner who was happy to fairly price match. So much nicer than dealing with the well known 'big boys'. Looking forward to receiving outer furniture in a few weeks. Thank you

sad to say im not impressed with the quality or cost of aldiss furniture , most bedroom furniture items i purchased have faults, i have waited 3.5 months for an oak coffee table , which although delivered foc because of other furniture faults , has several itself ! not impressed they need to improve quality control somehow it shoukd be checked before it cones to customer .

The store is great, the staff seem really nice BUT.... We bought 2 Parker Knoll sofas which were delivered by a pair of helpful guys. Despite their best efforts they couldn't get them in. We then discovered there was a 25% restocking charge so we ended storing them in the garage !!!!!! Shame the restocking charge wasn't mentioned before we ordered. Certainly would think twice before buying anything else unless we could carry it home ourselves

Lovely store, well laid out and a fine selection of quality items. But service was awful. 3 staff in the cookware area when we went and not one of them helped us with the myriad of pans they had. Lady on the till was lovely though, what a shame they weren't all like her.

We were 100% clear with the salesman that there’s no road access to our property, access is only by boat and we’d arrange a boat. The salesman said, no problem, the delivery men will come across the river with you, unpack and assemble the new chairs and remove and take away the old sofa and packaging.

When we arranged delivery we once again made clear access was by boat. No problem was the response.

So the truck and chairs arrive (after first going to the wrong place) and the delivery men inform us they’re not allowed to go on the boat. So we have to man handle the chairs and sofa ourselves (despite Aldiss being paid for this), unpack and assemble them.



We gave Aldiss a chance to put it right before posting this but they seem happy with the situation. I guess they would be, they have our money.



We try to support local businesses wherever possible but if this is the way you’re treated why bother?



The chairs are nice though (hence two stars rather than one) even if they did take a very long time to arrive.

Very very poor think you need to train your managers in customer service I would not speak to my dog the way my father and myself were spoken too. I had Two dining tables from you the quality was very poor. We got a refund minus £25 good will vouchers due to your delivery driver putting our table together and a leg fell off very nearly hitting my daughter. Will never buy anything from your stores again. One very un happy costomer.

Utterly the most incompetent store on the planet. Last time they sold me a cake stand without all the pieces to join it together. Now only half what I have ordered and paid for, even though they said specifically they had checked the boxes. I cant go out and more to the point tomorrow it will be useless. Utterly furious. What a useless place

Unlike the previous post my parents experience of customer service was appalling. After purchasing bedroom furniture recently every item was damaged on delivery . Aldiss came and inspected the furniture and said if they replace the chest of drawers the next one may also be damaged as they are manufactured in Vietnam! My parents were offered £50 of Aldiss vouchers and no replacement. What a joke. Better quality and much cheaper at Ikea.

My leather chair purchased from ALDISS September 2014. Long going battle with them and I still ended up having to pay towards replacement chair, not leather and no electrics. They even admitted they had trouble with the suppliers and the leather was faulty. Never will I buy anything from there again and my advice to anyone is, if you want something to last longer than 2 years DON'T GO TO ALDISS!!



That's it. Now you know what I think of ALDISS!!

I ordered a carpet from Aldiss on 21st April, finally got it fitted 10 days ago and I have to say I love it. However, I was told that I would receive £90 worth of free vouchers. I expected to receive them after the carpet was fitted but as they hadn't arrived, I went to the store today to pick them up (on my customer order, it said that they were in the safe), I was then told by a salesman and subsequently a manager that the vouchers were now out of date and that I could not have them. When I said that I had not been told that there was an expiry date and there was nothing on my order to state this, I was told that the expiry date was on the vouchers which I have never received.

My family and I had been customers of Aldiss since I was born but never again. If this is how they treat their loyal customers I am disgusted. I told the manager that I was going to trading standards (which I already done) and he said "be my guest". !

I had a bedroom, landing and stairs carpet fitted at the same time. I do not think the fitting of my stair carpet is as good as it could have been and not what I had expected for the money paid for a 'professional' fit. However, after they messed up the fitting of the carpet in the walk in wardrobe, where originally they had left a gap big enough to fit a finger in for about a 50cm run, and then their 'fix' was to send the same fitters back who then cut the carpet in half front to back leaving an ugly join down the middle which I can see every single time I open the door, I haven't been able to bring myself to ask them back to look at things for fear of them bodging something else. I was the first fit of the day and I just feel they were rushing to get the job done as quickly as possible without taking enough care. All I can do is tell others that I will certainly not buy my future carpets from Aldiss and would suggest that anyone else thinking of having a carpet fitted by them does so at their own risk.

The fact that they have never offered a follow up call to ask if the 'fix' was carried out to a satisfactory standard just goes to show how much they care about their customers. Never again.

Appalling after sales service. We developed a problem with a sofa shortly after purchasing it and they refused point blank to even investigate or record our complaint about the item. Will never shop there again. Beware!
