Here at Aldridge Podiatry / Chiropody we are fully qualified HCPC Registered podiatrists with degrees in Podiatry who have been trained by and worked for 3 years in the NHS at many different NHS hospitals and clinics. We are experts in treating Diabetic patients, patients with other high risk conditions like poor blood supply to the feet, Peripheral Arterial Disease and patients with neuropathy. We work regularly treating the feet of patients with ulcerations or previous ul...cerations taking the utmost care when working with high risk feet. We also have extra training in working those with dementia and mental ill health, and as former teachers we love working with children of all ages too. We offer a free ultrsound circulation check and neuropathy check for new patients and to any patient who is concerned about these, as part of our routine treatment. Problems with thickened or unsightly fungal nails? Here at Aldridge Podiatry / Chiropody we practice only evidence based medicine, so we do not offer treatments for which there is not good scientific evidence. This is the reason we do not offer laser treatment for fungal nails, as there is currently no clear evidence that this works effectively, but we do offer nail fenestration, a newer technique where small holes are made in the fungal nail which allow liquid anti-fungals to penetrate. There is good evidence that this is the best current technique for eliminating fungal nails. Feel free to come and talk to us about the most effective treatments for you.

Apologies if you have tried to phone us and we have not been available to answer all the time this week. We closed the clinic to attend the funeral of our lovely Quaker friend Kate, whose wonderful sense of fun never left her, even in her 90's. We will all miss her making us laugh. ❤️

As a husband and wife partnership we thought we would post up an article about us meeting each other (30 years ago today) from Birmingham University Alumni Magazine. It was lovely that the Uni gave us the bench we sat on at our first date in 1988. This was a few years before we took our Podiatry degrees together.

We had a lovely thank you card pushed through our letter box at home from the daughter of a patient we had seen as an emergency saying how grateful they were for our care. Made our day

Happy new year to all our friends and patients. We are pleased that we have raised over a thousand pounds for charity in the last couple of months which has enabled a group of podiatrists to go to help refugees and asylum seekers abroad with foot problems. Over £3,000 was raised in total allowing more aid trips to happen. Thanks to our patients who also helped collect clothes (we had over 20 sacks full), an amazing response!

We have had a lovely thank you phone call from one new patient who was really pleased with their treatment, plus flowers and chocolates from other patients. It is so lovely to feel that you are making other people pain free and happy.
