Alex works for both private garden owners and commercial developments providing a design service from the initial conception to the finished construction for both gardens and larger landscapes. Working with the clients through a creative design process ensures a comprehensive and truly bespoke scheme is achieved.

Alex studied Fine Art in Cumbria from 1996-1999 and, following a period of working, he turned to his great passions of art and gardens. He completed the Garden and Landscape Design HND at Duchy college from 2013-2015. This course was run by the extremely successful duo of Matt James and Richard Sneesby.

Following his art degree he began working at Hayles Howe in 2001, a small ornamental plasterwork company founded on a commitment to traditional crafts and artistic endeavour.

Initially driven by his love of sculpture he produced and installed plasterwork for prestigious projects such as the Coolmore stud refurbishment in Ireland and Tusmore house, England. Eventually moving into logistics and scheduling on jobs such as Harewood House and finally No1 Hyde park, the penthouse development. These experiences provided the solid understanding of the construction industry which underpins his garden design practice.
