Celebrating my birthday today in style in Braemar, Scotland - where the Summer evenings are long but chilly so a dress with knitted sleeves is both summery and cozy. Happy #memademay2019 ! As relative Instagram babies we are excited to be joining in for the first time! As our wardrobes are almost exclusively me-made (or mum-made... 😉) already we are going to make our pledge to focus on #upcycling existing garments and sharing some tips, tricks and inspiration along the way... 💜 To kick off here’s how to upcycle a dull old baggy sweater into a snappy fitted spring cardigan: 1. Use a fitted tee shirt pattern to help you re-shape it to your ...size (our #icebergmaxidress would do the trick if you don’t already have something suitable). 2. Add a funky zip, some pom poms or braid from your haberdashery stash to finish the neck and front edges. Alice did this one years ago and still loves it. 💜 Next step: learning how to embroider over moth holes!
