Just look at these clever pooches! ūüėć
AODT offers Trick Training through our classes and a monthly meet, we'll be popping some more workshops on in the future too so keep your eyes peeled ūüĎÄ
The National Canine Trick Star Awards has 4 levels for handlers & dogs to work through, growing in complexity and really testing some of the teams training skills.
... Congratulations to;
Debbie and TSG Lucas (GSD) he moves onto Pro. We've seen a complete transformation in this beautiful dogs attitude to training and engaging with his Mum since they started 1-1 sessions - a real pleasure to work with them both.
Heidi, Ross & TSG Ranger (Sheltie) he moves onto Pro. This little dog just continues to learn & grow and is a shadow of the dog that started training with us. He is enjoying agility with Ross, is set to embark on KC Rally and is loving learning!
Jemma & TSA Digby (Red Setter) He whizzed through his Apprentice level after attending a Beginners course & follow up classes. He's a smart boy and eager to learn - we look forward to seeing how he get on with Graduate

Oh .. my .. cat!! That‚Äôs right, this weeks teabar selfie is THE most adorable kitten!! ūüėćūüėć One of our lovely members, Lynette, is currently playing mum to 3 week old Emily on behalf of Cats Protection as she was found all alone and in need of help. As much as I would love to take her home myself (not sure my own 3 would allow it!) I also enjoy my sleep too much and little Emily is currently needing round the clock care. It takes a special kind of person to do this work, Lynette you are a star ūüėė We look forward to seeing Emily‚Äôs progress. xx NB: Emily was safely out of reach of all inquisitive noses whilst she was visiting us ūüėČ

As the heat is set to make a come back this week, we start to think again about ways to keep our dogs cool, and enriched.
Walks are limited or non existent and so an alternate activity is always a great idea. One of our favourites is utilising meal times.
Here's our version of a doggy Ice pop - have you tried it? ... This one contains a stuffed Kong, an antler, some chopped liver & hotdog as well as some Banana ūüćĆ & Strawberry ūüćď Yum!
It also kept Agnes & Matilda busy for well over an hour!
Let us know if you have some great ideas or what you put in yours - and how your dog gets on ūüĎćūüŹĽ

Kindness is defined as the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Affection, gentleness, warmth, concern, and care are words that are associated with kindness. Being kind often requires courage and strength.
Maybe you don't have the skills you need right now to fix a problem or train your dog, maybe you are worried what you are doing is right. But while you seek help or confirmation the worst that you can do is be Kind ‚ô•ÔłŹ

When you pop along to a training class you are there to learn skills that you can take away and put into practise at home and in the real world ūüĆéūüźĺ
Did you know that dogs struggle to generalise? This means taking something specific, and applying it more broadly. hi I just have to say how fantastic Alicia is with her training and guidence, my daughter got a kitten and our rescue spaniel was very excitable around cats and was scaring the kitten so we had Alicia come round to us to help introduce them to each other and give us some advice on integrating them slowly, we really didn't think it was possible.we have since taken on a second rescue spaniel so we used the same techniques taught to us by Alicia which have also worked a treat ÔŅĹ

User

What a genuine caring lady. She came to my home today to give me some help and I felt reassured that I am able to make some possessive changes to give my little one the best help. Thank you and I will be recommending you to any that ask.

User

We've just completed the beginners' obedience class with our adolescent dog and his adolescent handler. Just brilliant! Alicia was so encouraging and positive with both of them. Our son is learning an important life skill -learning how to look after his dog - and our wonderful dog is enjoying it and coming on in leaps and bounds. Better still, we're all loving it and having fun! Thanks Alicia.

Now on to more fun with agility...

User

We've been training with Alicia on and off since Bobbi (now 2) was a puppy. We've done group beginner and intermediate classes, as well as some workshops. Alicia also recently visited us at home to help us iron out a few issues that Bobbi's been struggling with.

We're so glad we found AODT. Alicia is a brilliant trainer - both for dog and owner - and I can highly recommend.

User

We have used Alicia now for two recall workshops and ive got to say they were both amazing!! From very start to end couldnt fault the whole process. Great advice and aftercare was recieved and had 100% recall at the end of both workshops. All customers and dogs were so happy!! Thank you Alicia cant wait to book more workshops up with you!! Xx

User

The puppy obedience class for Jett (and me!) was excellent! I was a little sad it came to an end yesterday and really wanted to do more! Alicia i would like to introduce Jett into agility i think or maybe gundog? Be good to know what you think he will be good at? In the meantime I would recommend this class for anyone with a new pup! Give it a go, you wont be disappointed! :)

User

So pleased we signed up for this course on recommendation from a friend. Took our 4 month old tiny dachshund X jack Russell puppy with my two daughters, Alicia and Julie are fantastic and our puppy is so well behaved and trained really well and my girls are now really good at training their puppy who passed the beginner course 100%, fully recommend.

We are continuing to train our little Lola here as she enjoys coming, my daughters do most of the training and out little puppy that started here at 4 months had grown into a very clever little trick star at 18 months old now, learning something new every week including good citizen awards and trick awards.

We all love training our little dog and the staff of Julie, Emma and Alicia and so friendly and helpful. Would recommend to everyone who has a dog small or large. ÔŅĹ

User

Raven & I attended Alicia's Fundamentals Workshop and loved every minute. The two hours flew as it was structured with the perfect amount of breaks that were used for us owners to learn while and our dogs rested and also fun ones for all of us. It was a really good way of getting some guidance for the pup and I and we're going back for the next part in a few weeks! Can't wait! ÔŅĹ

User

If you want to train your dog there is only one trainer that I would recommend and that is Alicia Bratby. Her training methods are fantastic. Each owner and dog are given every help and guidance to become the best they can be. In addition all the classes are great fun and I have made some amazing friends. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I will never stop going to her classes. If I could, I would give Alicia 100 ÔŅĹ not just five.

User

I started the beginners training class because my cockerpoo hadn't had the best start in life due to lack of socialisation. She was becoming more reactive towards cars and other dogs whilst out. Well, what can I say! Coco loves every second she is there. We are now on to intermediate and taking part in the Trick Stars. There is no stopping her now, I had no idea what a clever little dog I had.

Not only has the training been great for bonding and trust, she is much calmer in all aspects of life. She settles in the car now (no more barking at passing lorries!) and looks to me for guidance if she's not sure of something when we are out.

Thanks Alicia, I love that all your training is based on positive reward methods, small classes and happy dogs.

User

I got introduced to Alicia off the back of a recommendation. We decided to take a behaviour package which includes a 1-2-1 visit and a program to follow afterwards.

We are 3 weeks into this now and we have stuck to it religiously!. My little louis a 2 year old frenchie has basically transformed as a dog. Me and partner are over the moon and will carry on with this until he is perfect and just what you want from your dog. Look no further than Alicia if you are experiencing problems with your dog she is great!!.

User

I can't thank Alicia enough! Training has gone from being a chore to something both me and Xena love doing! Classes are so much fun and we love coming home to practice and show how far we have come week on week! Fun agility, trick star and kennel club means we always have something to work on! Thank you again for all the support!! X

User

Highly recommend ÔŅĹ Alicia visited us at home as I was worried about our puppy Belle fitting into our lives with two young children - we were given great advice - re assurance with crate training and attended the 8 week puppy course. I really enjoyed the course as it really gave me and Belle a great chance to bond and learn some basic skills - We look forward to attending more classes in the future. ÔŅĹ

User

Fantastic beginners course, both me and my dog loved it.

User

Deciding to attend a beginners class with Alicia was one of the best decisions I made as a new puppy owner. Alicia's classes are fun and informative covering all aspects of doggie ownership. Most importantly Alicia trained me too! She gave me confidence as well as knowledge to help me become a better owner.

Two years on and Alicia is still always willing to give advice. It's reassuring to know that there's always someone you can speak to about any little (or what sometimes seem big) issues.

I also recommend the 'Brain Training' sessions as well as the fun agility. Thanks Alicia

Me and Rosie Posie

Ps she's also fab at controlling troublesome children too

User

As a new dog owner I’ve been overwhelmed with the information on the internet, in books etc. I had no idea what I should & shouldn’t be doing to train my pup. After a 1:1 session with Alicia I feel so much more confident with what I’m doing.

Alicia has given me lots of advice and tips but also made things really simple for me to understand why my pup behaves the way he does.

I highly recommend. Thank you & I look forward to learning more at group training in Feb xx

User

Alicia truly is a trainer who is 100% focused on helping people to help dogs live happy lives. Her passion shows in all she does and she is always training with the dogs emotional state in mind. Her lessons are educational, yet fun for both the owner and dog alike and her classes are purposely kept small which allows for the dogs to learn in a calm and relaxed environment, aiding to the dogs learning. Would highly recommend, keep up the good work.

User

Alicia has given us lots of advice about how to get my rescue dog to stop crying at night and also how to help him get over his terrible separation anxiety ÔŅĹ

Her tips and tricks now mean we can leave him at home for a couple of hours at a time without feeling terribly guilty and without him being a nervous wreck once we return. He now happily greets us when we return home and calms down within 5 mins, compared to when he was previously in such a state that he would be physically shaking and panting.

I cannot thank her enough as it has helped him turn into a more relaxed doggy in his new forever home ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

I would always recommend Alicia to anyone that needed a dog trainer for any issue they may have !! ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

User

Alicia had come highly recommended to me. I certainly wasn't disappointed and so pleased to have found her.

The day she visited was a little over an hour. After writing down notes on what help I needed alicia began work with Minnie my French bullgog 18 weeks old. I was astonished how quickly Minnie did what was asked of her.

Since that visit Alicia has been extremely helpful. I've messaged her quite a lot for advice and she has been extremely encouraging & willing to give advice ( even wkends & evenings ) to which I'm hugely grateful.

Anyone looking for a dog trainer Alicia is definitely the one to use. You won't be disappointed.

A huge thank to you Alicia keysÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ
