I love to sew and be creative!
My background is in Fashion and Education having taught fashion at various colleges including Harrogate and Leeds College of Art. I have a passion for pattern cutting, drafting and making garments, however my idea of coming up with Alison Aprons, is from using fabrics that I've collected over the years that I love.
I have now changed my name to plain old me as I want to showcase my work whilst completing my BA Hons Fashion degree in order to complete a higher level teaching qualification in the near future.
I enjoy coming up with an idea, inspired by fabrics alone as the fabric tells the story; that can be practical, stylish and pretty, fun, quirky and even kitsch! I have fun making them and smile when doing so!
Most of the designs are unique as are a lot of the fabrics sourced, but there are also some that can be replicated. I will be uploading a variety of styles and if you see anything you like, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
