Our fabulous team leader lisa has made a cake for the fete tomorrow, £1 a go to guess how many skittles are in and on top of the cake and the nearest wins the whole cake! I’m in 😂
Here at Aliwal Manor we have been very busy the last couple of weeks. We have had children into play again, singers, pamper days, outings and much more. We hope you enjoy the photos.
It’s nearly time. The big day is nearly upon us. We look forward to seeing everyone and raising money for our residents comfort fund.
Just a reminder that we will be holding the fete on 27th July. Please get in touch if you would like a car boot space this is £5 a pitch. There are also a couple of spaces left for stalls. On the day we will have a giant raffle, bbq, children’s games, entertainment, stalls, car boot and more. All welcome, the doors will open at 1:30pm. ... All monies raised will go to our residents comfort fund. We are also needing somewhere to display our banners. These are 1 metre wide and 5 metres long. This afternoon is ball games inside as it is now a little too warm.
We have all been busy enjoying the sunshine today. We have paddled our feet, been covered in sun cream and drank plenty of mocktails.

One of our residents Bill had a surprise visit from his son Paul this morning. Paul turned up in the fire engine with some of the crew. Bill enjoyed the visit along with some other residents and staff.
The staff who attended the Excelcare awards would just like to say a massive thank you. An amazing day was had by all to celebrate all the shinning stars. A fantastic event was put together once again and we are all so lucky to work for a company in which you are appreciated.

We enjoyed a visit from CDC - Chloe's Dance Company today. Chloe tries to get everyone involved and as you can see we all enjoy her visits to the home.
Here is the very popular banjo man, entertaining as always. He is a very popular choice and always enjoyed by the home.
Today has been a very busy and beautiful sunny day at Aliwal Manor. The residents have enjoyed another visit from the Ormiston child and family centre. The residents and families spent time playing games and singing together. We have then had the very popular banjo man visit. We all enjoyed singing along again and dancing together. With the weather being so warm and inviting we have even managed to spend some time in our much loved gardens.
Thank you Nicole and Amy for taking two residents to see the vintage buses in Whittlesey. They had a great time and then talked about their outing in the garden 🤗
This afternoon we had a visit from Luke. Luke was recommend to the home recently and both times he has sang the residents have had nothing but praise. Residents sang along and some were even found dancing with the staff. All of the home are already looking forward to his next visit.
We had a lovely visit today from kes and his trainer sue. Sue is currently training kes to become a guide dog. The residents really enjoyed his visit today and have loved watching him grow in to a well behaved future guide dog for someone.
Our lovely colleague Lauren popped by with her beautiful little girl to have cuddles with a resident, ( and all of us ) we were all nearly in tears to see the two together it really was lovely 😊 thank you Lauren
