All About Corpora

All About Corpora (AAC) is a website dedicated completely to the study of corpus linguistics. At the time of AAC's inception, no similar website within the field of corpus linguistics has ever been created. Namely one that provides a platform for not only established academics, but also first year research students to feature their work. Our mission at AAC is to provide a centralised location for all corpus linguists to visit, where they are able to find out the latest and most relevant news within the field. Whether that is pertaining to the release of a new book, the initiation of a new research project, the announcement of an upcoming conference or submission deadlines for a job, conference or journal. However, AAC is not only catered for those who are already familiar with corpus linguistics or who are currently part of a research institution. One of the main features of the website is our researcher profiles section, which provides a brief biography of many of the most prominent corpus linguists around the world. A prospective Masters or Doctoral student has the opportunity to browse the profiles of academics from various institutions in one centralised location, as well as have immediate access to important contact information such as their email address. Additionally, for those who have very little information about corpus linguistics, there is a section within the website that provides an introduction to corpus linguistics, as well as providing a list of some initial recommended reading material.
