Bought this fantastic doggy material last Summer and put it to good use today to make another bandana. I will be selling these in my grooming shed when I reopen for business. Rex was falling asleep modelling this one after his two x1 hour walks and a run around the garden πŸ˜‚

Well how many did you get right? I only got 10 out of 17 😬 Hope you did better than that. The answers are in the comments 😊

I’ve been meaning to make these for ages and now I’ve got time on my hands I gave it a go. This is a small bandana and is for my sisters little Yorkies but here is Rex modelling it. When I’m back up and running let me know if you are interested and I’ll make one to fit your dog 😊

A dog related quiz for you to try, I’ll give you the answers tomorrow around lunchtime 😊

All appointments cancelled and my business closed down until further notice. Best wishes in the coming months. Take care and stay safe xx

I was going to stay open until the end of March but just got a handful of dogs to get done this week now. Today there was no styling or fancy grooms (who said I don’t do them anyway πŸ˜‚) and all the dogs just got clipped off short. First dog was Vinnie the Shih Tzu, followed by Charlie the King Charles Spaniel and lastly Leo the Yorkie.

Dear Customers, From end of March I will be shutting down my business (and maybe sooner if things escalate) and offering my services to the NHS. If you are booked in for an appointment then sadly I recommend you get your dog’s coat clipped down very short. This morning in Italy, all non essential businesses have been ordered to close and I think we are only a week or two behind their thinking.
I am now being a lot stricter in the way I operate and the following procedure ap...plies:
- There will be a sanitised cage just inside the front gates of my premises, please remove your dogs collar and lead and place your dog inside this cage - I will be at least 2 metres away and can discuss any requirements you may have - I will agree a collection time with you and then take your dog to my grooming shed
Once the groom is finished I will do the following:
- A couple of minutes before the agreed collection time I will place your dog inside the cage - I will take your dog to the front gates and wait for you to arrive - Once you get here remove your dog from the cage and put him back on his collar and lead - You can pay me by PayPal, bank transfer or drop the money into a small plastic container by the gates.
This same procedure will apply when I do a collection and drop off.
NB: Please cancel your appointment if you suspect you have any of the Coronavirus symptoms and I will of course do the same.
If anyone wants any advice on home grooming then get in touch with me, although don’t get too good at it 😜
Take care and stay safe and hope to see you all very soon.
Best wishes from Team All Dogs Great and Small (Julie, Mark and Rex the dog) 😊

Plenty of sunshine β˜€οΈ and volunteers who were all social distancing. All the dogs got walked and some more than once. I walked this lovely lady and she is looking for someone to take care of her. At the moment the Dogs Home is not accepting visitors, read the current advice on their website and if you are interested in a dog then ring up to make an appointment.

Going forward I’m sanitising and handing over dogs at the front gates. When you drop your dog off we can agree a collection time and I’ll meet you back at the gates once your pooch has been groomed. This morning Ralfi the Yorkiepoo called in and here he is posing on the table afterwards.

First dog this morning was Tilly the Cockapoo, she has lovely markings similar to Rosie the Cavalier who I groomed yesterday. Next was Charlie the Shih Tzu and his owner baths πŸ› him the night before so I just clip and scissor him. Last dog was Harry the Shih Tzu and he has a cuddlier, longer coat look.

Keep calm and carry on for the time being 😊 Just the one dog this morning and it was Rosie the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, she is coming up to 10 years old but she still looks like a puppy. Off to do my NHS job now.

A Terrier / Terrier cross type of day. First dog through the door was Max the Standard Schnauzer and here he is eyeballing a cat 🐈 on the other side of the gate. Next was Ruby the Jackapoo, I like how her colouring starts off dark grey and goes lighter towards her paws. After that was her housemate Bella, a Scottie cross and went a bit shorter around her head and muzzle.

Big thank you to my neighbour Pat for donating towels and dog treats and Lynne for donating toys and ornaments for the shop. Pleasant, warm morning and all the dogs got walked. I took this adorable boy for a stroll around the woods and he is looking for a new home. If you are interested in Wolfie then come along and meet him, the opening hours are Monday to Saturday 1-5pm and Sunday 1-4pm.

Last time Mozza the Springer cross came in for a groom she was dancing around the table. However, today she was much calmer 😊 and I gave her a short clip all over with my 10 blade.

All types of different coats today, first was a woolly one on Teddy the Cavapoo. Next was a silky type on Lola the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, always feel guilty clipping her coat as it dulls the beautiful ruby red colour. Lastly was the harsher, bristlier coat of a Terrier, I clipped Tilly the Cairn cross and her Mum Rosie came along as well for a bath πŸ› and dry.

Some dogs don’t mind being groomed and others get stressed by it. Rocky the Sprocker got a bit upset in my shed this morning so I improvised and went mobile and did part of the groom from the boot of my car πŸš™ After lunch Shih Tzu housemates Alfie and Spiddy turned up, I tried out my new treats that I got from Crufts on them and they went down a storm πŸ˜‹

First dog this morning was George the Bichon and he just gets clipped really short all over. Unfortunately his tail was a bit knotted this time and I had to clip it off but it will soon grow back. Next was my Sister’s Yorkies and she helps me my bathing and drying them. First was feisty Tia and then Jack took his turn. Once the grooms were done we had a walk around Weston followed by a chippy tea πŸ˜‹
