The Allendale Bunkhouse is a large self catering group venue that can house 36 people in 10 mostly ensuite bedrooms in the centre of Allendale.

Just wanted to drop a quick email to thank you for a fantastic residential last week, Both staff and students thoroughly enjoyed every element of it, again very well led by John with a great range of activities, accommodation immaculate as always and the food was once again perfect, since coming to Becks I haven’t had a student complain about the food once, whereas previous residential providers I have used its pretty much all the students have done! So a massive thank you to you and your team!
In walking distance from The Bunkhouse: A Northumbrian Country Pub with a fantastic vegan menu! (They also serve hearty meat dishes and have the best view over The Valley!)

The next available weekend at the Allendale Bunkhouse is now November 4th - 6th. We have plenty of mid-week availability in August and September left, soem also in October - please get in touch for a quote and come and enjoy Allendale.
Bunkhouse garden in the sun!
Bunkhouse weekend availability: every weekend between now and the end of October is now booked, but we have two weekends left available in September: 16th - 18th and 23rd - 25th. There is plenty of mid week availability in the 2nd and 3rd week of August and in September/October.
Our partner property - the Dale Cottage, also in Allendale has some availability left this summer. Have a look - a stunning newly refurbished 2 bedroom holiday cottage, with its own garden, sleeping up to 6 people - a few doors down from the Bunkhouse.

And look at the lovely feedback our last guests left us, thanks Suzanne - youy are wleocme back any time! :-) "I booked to stay at the Allendale Bunkhouse for 30 friends for my 40th birthday in March. From the very start Linda responded to my many email requests in a great, timely manner. When it came to the weekend the hosts could not be more accommodating, very welcoming and could... not do enough for you. On the Saturday night we had the BBQ provided which was delicious with loads to offer and great value for money. On the Sunday morning we had the cooked breakfast which again was fantastic value with great quality food. The bunkhouse is set in a beautiful village with a lovely pub next door and great surroundings with a lovely garden area to use the outside facilities. The facilities in the accommodation are also very clean and comfortable with everything you need and a good size communal area to natter in to the night. Fantastic place to stay and could not recommend it more, I will be back for sure!!"

What a lovely letter from one of our guests; "I stayed at the bunkhouse in November 2015 with a group of friends. There were 8 families with children aged from 2 – 13. We all had a fabulous time and we are already looking forward to next years trip. The owners were very helpful through out the booking process and arranged for Nicky to welcome us on arrival. She gave us a tour and answered all of our questions. We bumped into her a few times over the weekend and every time she... asked if we were okay and wanted to know we were enjoying ourselves. The open plan area downstairs was a decent size and we found bedrooms to be comfortable. The fire pit in the garden kept us warm whilst doing a spot of star gazing and the local pubs were really nice and very friendly. Allendale is a lovely little village and the bunkhouse is a fantastic place to meet up with friends or family. I would highly recommend it."

We loved our mini break at the Bunkhouse - 6 families, 1 dog and great fun.. Loads of space for everyone to chill out. Fantastic cooking facilities, an amazing drinks fridge, fab showers and a really lovely BBQ space in the garden.
Allendale is a lovely little village with 3 pubs (the take away pizzas were fab) and several shops including a Co-op that sells everything you could ever need.
Linda and Tony have created a wonderful bunkhouse in a fantastic location with so much to do on the doorstep.
Thoroughly recommend. Huge thanks from all of us.
We all had a fab time for a surprise 30th a lovely place to stay for groups x
Just returned from a wonderful weekend at Allendale Bunkhouse with 35 family and friends celebrating our daughters 18th birthday, cannot recommend the place enough. From the 1st e mail to book until the end Linda and Tony have been the perfect hosts, nothing was a problem to them. The ghyll scrambling was great fun and the meal on the Saturday night was just amazing everything was just perfect. Thank you both so much and a huge thank you and well done to Nicky she is such a delightful person and so bubbly. Hopefully see you all again sometime in the near future x
Great place, owners couldn't be more friendly or accommodating to your needs, fabulous weekend!!
Great bunkhouse. Comfortable, well supplied and pleasant. Beds ain't huge but they are comfortable. Kitchen and dining area is a good size (although a single cooker could become a limitation if fully occupied with self-caterers). Overall a very comfortable and reasonably priced stay. Oh - almost lost a star for the bloody slow wifi, but that would be unfair as it's probably down to BT's local broadband, and the wifi is free.
Fantastic place to stay. Booked for a 40th birthday weekend and has everything we needed. Linda and Tony were very accommodating and lovely people even when we set of the fire alarms with our straighteners. People in the village were lovely even though we were a little noisy they joked about it with us and there were no complaints. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back (if they will have us).

24 of us stayed here for a hen do weekend and it was great and very close to Newcastle upon Tyne, where most of us live. It had everything we needed and the hosts Linda and Tony were very friendly and helpful and responded to our telephone and email queries very promptly. The weekend involved a barbecue, trip out to the local pubs and into Hexham, ghyll scrambling activity (organised by Tony and Linda), afternoon tea indoors, live music in The Golden Lion, drinks around the firepit and yet another barbecue on our last day. We would definitely go back.
