Allerthorpe Country & Leisure Park

We have received some comments and queries regarding a news piece shown today (6th Feb) relating to the development of our Allerthorpe Park. Please see our full statement below.
Olly Gardner, Acting Chief Operating Officer at Park Leisure 2000 Ltd said:
“Current works relate to the sewerage connections for our already approved park plans, which are underway.
... The decision to proceed with a retrospective planning request was taken for a number of reasons and included careful consideration of feedback provided by The Local Highways and Planning Authorities. All relevant documentation is with the Council and other necessary permits are in place. We remain wholly committed to working with the local community, minimising any disruption to them and we will continue to listen to and respond to questions via our Allerthorpe Liaison Committee. Regarding concerns over impact to village verges as part of this process, we will be working with the Highways Authorities to ensure anything of this nature is dutifully reinstated.
As a business, we are a very willing part of the community and see Allerthorpe Golf and Park Retreat as something which will deliver both economic growth and opportunity to the village.”
