In response to growing conerns in relation to knife crime nationally, officer's from Allestree SNT have attended Woodlands School and Lawn Primary School to deliver the Project Zao Presentation. This has given us the opportunity to discuss the effects and consequences of carrying a knife as well as educating young people on how to report any concerns they may have.

Well despite the weather we had a great turnout at the Bike register event and managed to mark over 50 bikes between the rain showers! Look out for another event soon (hopefully when it's a bit warmer!)

In the early hours of Saturday 2nd March 2019 an Allestree resident called the police to report seeing a group trying car doors in the local area.
Our colleagues on the local policing unit attended for an area search and arrested four people who were located in the area acting suspiciously.
During a search of these individuals several items of property were recovered including a Nintendo Switch console with games, an IPad and a children’s pad and pens.
... The individuals were interviewed and released under investigation until we could prove that the items they were found with were stolen.
PC Hill was reviewing incidents and found a call had been received from an Allestree resident reporting that they had their Nintendo Switch stolen from the car on the same night and so contacted the victim to see if they had anything else stolen at which point they realised an iPad had also been taken.
On Sunday 3rd March the items were reunited with a very happy young man who had only received some of the items very recently as presents for his birthday

Should anyone come to you door that you are not happy with you do not have to open the door or let them in. All reputable companies will have ID and be happy to wait while a call is made to check that they are legitimate.
If you have cold callers who offer to do work please do not feel pressured to have this done and never let anyone take you to the bank to withdraw money. If you have anyone like this visit yo...ur home please call the police.
If you have elderly or vulnerable family, friends or neighbours please pass this information on to them.

There have been a number of thefts of pedal cycle reported in the Allestree area. If you see anyone acting suspiciously near to a bike please call us on 101 or 999 if a theft is happening at the time. #beoureyesandears

We're at Markeaton Park doing the bike marking today when we caught this mischievous pair up to no good throwing snowballs....but don't worry they will be out in time to finish making the presents for Santa!!

Following reports of a vehicle obstructing the highway (both the road and the pavement), the offending vehicle was removed and a ticket will be issued in due course. (This was as far forward as we dared to drive after seeing cars struggling to squeeze through)

On 30th October we completed another operation regarding vehicles using Carsington Crescent in contravention of the No Access signs. A number of tickets were issued.
