Went into the garden centre today to be greeted by a lovely autumn display. I asked the lady at customer services when the items would be available to buy, she went to ask some members of staff for me to then see them taking one down from the display! They let me buy that one and I was so grateful for it. The lady was very helpful, unfortunately I didn't catch her name, she served me at the till and on my receipt her operator number was 497. It's hard to find genuine good customer service so I think she should be praised for this xxx

User

Well done to the staff at Almondsbury Garden Centre for excellent and very prompt service. When I left this morning I spoke to a lady outside the exit door who was collecting for a local hospice. It was sooo hot and she looked quite uncomfortable in the heat. I asked a member of staff on the customer service desk for a glass of water for her, which she brought straight out, thank you! She promised to pop out regularly to see if she needed any more, or anything else, so I asked if she could arrange for a parasol to be set up so the poor woman could have some shade. By the time I returned my trolley after unloading into my car she was already looking so much more comfortable under an enormous parasol. Brilliant, thanks for caring, Almondsbury!

We have always used this garden centre since moving to Bristol. It isn’t the cheapest but your paying for the quality of everything it has to offer. A lot of changes have happened over the last year or so definitely for the better. Extending the restaurant is a huge plus. When we last visited for Xmas ideas we were disappointed and drove once again to Cadbury’s. We were pleasantly surprised on going this year to find there were enormous improvements, really put you in the festive mood with lovely music and well thought out displays. Very impressed. We will no longer feel the need to travel further a field for Xmas ideas.

We came yesterday with our 4 youngest children, aged 3, 4, 6 and 8 to do your Easter egg hunt. Our teens did not want to attend and we ourselves thought it would be a quick trip in and out in 20minutes.

We were actually here an hour and I never realised there was a second building and so many plants outside!

Me and hubby got right into the hunt with the children and was really fun (it was even raining but we didn't care), the £1 donation per child went straight into a charity pot and each child gifted a bag with a selection of chocolate eggs in.

We went to the cafe however it was bang on 3pm when afternoon offers started so we couldn't get in, but this shows how popular the place is and will definitely return in the future. Our teens were gutted when they say pictures and said they would come to future events.

Myself, my Mum and my baby boy visited yesterday and had a really lovely experience. I don't actually enjoy shopping much these days due to queues, parking etc which can be a struggle with a young baby. However, we all had such a nice visit. My baby loved all the twinkling lights, Christmas decorations and music! Great range of stock and fantastic visual merchandising by your team. We spoke to Richard who was very friendly and talked with such enthusiasm about the business. We love to support local, family run businesses and I really think this "experience led" destination shopping style is how things will end up going in the retail industry. We had brunch in your cafe which was served efficiently and hot. Even the baby changing and toilet facilities were well kept and clean. Congratulations on a fantastic redevelopment of the premises and keep doing what you're doing! Merry (early) Christmas to you all!

User

Lovely outdoor area restaurant very nice good food & nice area to sit in both in & outdoors. . Good variety of plants stocked. Definitely worth a visit!

User

Love it here food is nice & walking around looking at all garden furniture etc lovely place

User

Just had a lovely couple of hours here, started with an english breakfast which was hot and tasty in a spotlessly clean restaurant and then a stroll around the huge garden centre. This is by far the best garden centre in Bristol with loads of staff on hand to help and the best selection of plants/shrubs/trees etc to choose from and the drive through compost pick up point is an excellent addition. We never leave empty handed.

User

I had a great time at Almondsbury Garden Centre yesterday with my niece Katie Rankin and the kiddies. We had lunch in the restaurant (it was delicious). Then we went on a gonk hunt, great fun. The Christmas shop was wonderful.

User

Had a lot of fun there over Easter weekend, did the Egg hunt, which was ace. The garden centre is well priced and had a lot of plants to choose from. Much bigger than expected. Cafe is a nice place to stop and eat too.

User

Great place to visit, great food great atmosphere. Very friendly staff.

User

Fabulous plants great layout and very helpful staff, so much to see here and the cafe is also good - this was my first but definitely not my last visit, has to be my favourite garden centre, great water features and indoor store as well.

User

Amazing flowers, plants and shrubs the best quality you can buy in Bristol and beyond !! And a lovely restaurant where you can sit outside in summer and enjoy the sunshine !!

User

Always loved the garden centre but love all the new improvements, fab Christmas shop, lots of gifts at good prices and lovely tea and cake in cafe x

User

This was my first visit. I'm 27 and went with my mother in law. I was super impressed with the range of items inside and the lovely designs on gardening equipment.

We stopped for lunch. I'm always happy to pay gardening centre prices for food but only if the quality matches. I was a little dodsappinted my jacket potato was dry and barely warm and my beans were a little on the semi warm side. Apart from that beautiful seating area and the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful made up for where they lacked in good quality.

There is a massive expanse of flowers on offer. More than I've ever seen in one garden centre before and they seemed to be reasonably priced.

I found the flower pots and the summer houses (which was the point of my visit) were extremly expensive. I'd say pretty much double than what I'd seen at other places for the same item. This was disappointment as I hate feeling ripped off.

I'll defiantly go back but won't be buying a summer house there 😆

User

I arrived shortly before 9am and waited outside with another customer for the store to open. I Was keen to explore and could see the Christmas decorations through the window (exciting)!! but my mood was soon dampened as a right moody grumpy looking (her facial expression) assistant came from inside the store to the doors fiddled with the door without making eye contact and shuffled off. I engaged in conversation with the other customer waiting about the whole approach of that assistant and we then realised the store was actually open.

I needed to use the bathroom facilities, which were clean and fresh.

I then entered the store to shop when I was greeted by an assistant "Jo" ,she only said "hello" however that simple greeting made a huge amount of difference to how I felt after the door opening situation. It was such a contrast of behaviour that I looked at her name badge. I wandered around the store for an hour and engaged with other members of staff who were helpful, polite and knowledgable. I purchased a pot and a huge piece of slate and it was of no trouble at all for staff to assist me or help me with it to my car.

I shall be back within the next week or so to purchase a tree for my pot.

Hope you can gain the extra * on your next opening procedure.

Hope your Christmas event goes well this weekend.

Started off with a coffee . Not good at all made with gone off milk. Replaced with fresh one. Apart from that an excellent place for plants etc pleasant surroundings , enjoyed the visit and will no doubt visit again

User

went for breakfast today the bacon was very dark and smelled gone off when we took it back we were told what an I supposed to do about it !!! on manager came and said sorry about the breakfast and sausages deep fried and hard won't be going back Sainsbury cafe is better and cheaper never again

User

Unfortunately following my recent visits to Almondsbury garden centre, on both occassions we were met with bad attitude from the cafe management and extremely poor customer service. Having raised this with both the general manager and director I have been less than impressed with management's response, the impression I am left with is that management couldn't care less about customer service or unpleasant and unwilling staff, such a shame but due to this I will no longer be shopping or eating at Almondsbury garden centre anymore!!! Bad and unprofessional attitude! Extremely disappointing!!!
