Fantastic place to visit, Hogwarts in the first harry potter movie, loads for kids to do and see adults are well catered for too. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Really great day out, genuinely thought we would only spend half the day here; so wrong. Filled the day, kids loved it along with us too. Top tip: get here early and collect the tickets for all the different events that go throughout the day. Can recommend the Lost Cellars Tour if you're not too easily scared.
Great for kids and adults. Bring warm clothes, even if you think you don't need them. Lots of shade and chilly wind!
Great castle. Easily has the most things to do of any castle I've been to. Good for families especially Harry potter kids and kids that like to pretend to be knights and princesses
Really enjoyed it here, cobbles not so good for wheelchairs but that can't be helped. In the state rooms we were offered the use of the lift to get upstairs which we appreciated otherwise my husband wouldn't have been able to see them. Truly lovely rooms
A Beautiful castle, still owned by the family. Beautiful gardens. Great for children who love Harry Potter.
Fabulous family day out. Well worth getting there early on busy days if you want to get a space on something like the broomstick class or the dragon quest, but there's plenty to do even if you don't want to do either of those like enjoying the castle grounds or touring the inside. There is a good fish and chip shop and dressing up and foam swords for the kids. The best bit is you can validate your ticket for a year so you can come back.
There is some disabled parking at the castle entrance otherwise you're parking in the Alnwick gardens car park and have a few minutes walk.
Castle and grounds are lovely. There were a few things closed with was a little dissapoining. We saved a little by booking online and live close enough to be able to return for free...
Wow, amazing tour, stunning historic castle and content, would certainly recommend, sadly garden did no way reach expectations, it was autumn perhaps they should discount admission as we were so disappointed. Loved the grounds, tree house, and free use of mobility scooters.
