A great weekend for the Horse Trials. Happy riders and horses , which is only made possible with the great support we receive from all our volunteers, officials , sponsors & of course all the team from Hope Farm who do every job going over the weekend, greatly appreciated by all the help we receive.... quick turn around now as all eyes head towards Burgham International...

All done for the first day of the Horse Trials ...., fantastic weather & lots of smiling faces ... see you all in the morning start of dressage at .8am

All good to go for tomorrow, courses passed , SJ up and dressage had a hair cut ... verti - drainer working hard to ensure the best possible going... our clerk of the course David Evans having a break from his stint on the tractor...

Another busy day today ... all looking great ready for courses opening tomorrow at 2pm .... after all the rain earlier in the week the going is spot on.....

Busy day today as we lead up to the weekend for the Horse Trial, heavy over night rain and rain early this morning has made conditions near perfect .... dressage set out , marquee up , trees out on the XC , water jump filled up and ground preparation work... not long now , see you all at the weekend.

What a fantastic place! The indoor arena is huge and its people facilities, when complete, will be second to none. Can't wait for the cross country schooling to be ready. Also appreciated the easy access from the A697 - check the website map folks and don't be led astray by postcode on satnav.

We are very lucky to have such a high calibre arena in the North East offering BS affiliated showjumping. The size of the light airy impressive INDOOR Arena , surface and quality of the show jumps are outstanding.



Huge warm up arena outdoors with excellent rideable surface .. lots of room for many competitors ! Plus there is smaller indoor area for a pop before going in ring and plenty of room for holding horses indoors.



There is easy access along Coldstream road from A1, a most straightforward drive in the largest HGV. Not only that but superb cafe / visitor facilities and large grandstand and conference facilities !



More BS members from all area should make a visit as a range of quality course-builders including Di Boddy regularly build here so you can experience many types of courses !



As Area Rep for AREA 12A, I am delighted our neighbours Area 12 have such a facility which is fantastic for all competitors from any area to experience.



Definitely recommend attending and see for yourself ., I bet first time you enter indoor you go WOW!

This is a fantastic facility. Saw the jumps out on the field last time I visited and they look awesome although my eventing days are well past now. The indoor school is amazing. I feel very lucky to have such a great place within 50 mins of home. Superb!

Only point is no mounting block in warm up arena and gate into outdoor difficult to open from horse. (If you dismount can't get back on)

First time at Alnwick Ford for BD Area Festivals today. A fabulous venue. Extremely well ran competition. Thank you to all involved! X

First BE event. All the phases were very close to the parking. Loved the way the xc was next to the trade stands. This made a refreshing change like a mini badminton by the water. Everyone was really friendly and there was a very relaxed atmosphere. Well done. The xc for 100 felt staightforward but required a good galloping pace. Loved it and thanks for your efforts.

Fantastic venue with fantastic staff. Very wheel chair friendly. All the facilities are clean and modern. Hopefully going to get permission from BD soon to host Para Dressage competitions.

Fantastic first BE event . Well done to all involved � loved the fact that as a mother of daughter competing I could watch the whole of the xc course bar 1 fence . Loved the set up , congrats guys !!

Fabulous place with great facilities whether it's for hiring or competing. The BE was highly organised and stewards / volunteers and competitors made it a relaxing and very enjoyable atmosphere and would definately recommend.

Excellent facilities and staff very courteous at keeping in touch with you. My daughter Grace had a super lesson with Les Smith, she has been practising all his hints and tips like mad prior to BYRDS Camp this weekend, what a marked improvement with the pony, can't wait for the next lesson Martin and Les! An absolutely 5* venue. Alnwick Ford is without a doubt looking like the best Equestrian facility in the North East region. Well laid out, friendly, professional and welcoming. What more could you want from a competition venue!? Cannot wait until the next time!
