Absolutely useless. Never ever use this company!
Use uber. Alpha are shocking, drop you nowhere near where you requested and charge you double what even a black cab would
Booked a taxi to take me to the stena line the night before we left. Guy at the desk said it's at the top of the list I've nothing to worry about. I had everything to worry about that morning! Myself, my partner and my 6 year old daughter was stood stranded for over half an hour waiting on our taxi, every time I phoned to say they have the wrong place (Street), the office hung up on me! What a joke! Thats no way to run a taxi business! We almost missed our boat home no thanks to you! No need for the cheek either! Glad I'll not be back near yous!
Driver didn't know the destination. I had to direct him by myself. Car was AWFULY dirty. Sorry to say that but driver didn't smell nice either. Cheaper than Delta though.
They take no personal details, so anyone can hop in your taxi! Terrible.
Never again. They didn't turn up, then sent a driver who didn't know where the destination was. Very rude as well.
1 star. Frequently 10-15 minutes late without an apology or letting me know and then i'm 2 minutes late and they leave because i'm supposed to "let them know" my train is going to be a tiny bit late, even though I have no signal at the underground station. Absolutely ridiculous. I was also appalled after being shouted at by a driver for no reason screaming down the phone "do you want this taxi or not?!" because he parked in a completely different place to where i had booked the taxi from and i didnt know how to get to him. Not surprised they only have 2/5 stars. Have used them frequently dispite their poor service as their rates are fair but i will be using a different taxi service from now on.
For some reason I have always been able to pre book my taxis to the airport, but when I called tonight I was told(in a very matter of fact way) they don't do pick ups in the city centre at that time of the morning, but yet I've always booked with Alpha for such journeys, and I go to the airport quite a bit, in fact I've even used it to go to Manchester airport, early in the morning. However, even after saying this on the phone to the operator the answer was an abrupt, ah no we don't do that, I guess I must of dreamt the last few times I got picked up then 😑 no wonder they're loosing more and more business to the likes of uber.
Phoned for taxi and received call to tell me it was here I started walking towards it and some man jumped in and stole it taxi driver didn't even question it even though it's a woman's name that it was booked under.
Waited incase it wasn't my taxi then phoned back and they send the would send another out to me. So another one pulls up and I got the call to say my taxi had arrived. I asked if it was reserved under my name and was told no. He then sits there waiting for 5 minutes and drives off with no one in the taxi!
I had to practically run to the train station so I didn't miss my train! Would not recommend.
