The good weather this week has allowed our Greenkeeping team to crack on with the winter projects on the 13th Hole. Extension to the tee, new swale and bunker work all now in evidence. Great job!
Another cold and frosty morning. Perfect for a bracing walk with some golf clubs and a coloured balls.
28 Ladies and Junior Girls playing in the Annual Christmas Cracker today. Thank you and a Merry Christmas to everyone. See you all in 2020! 🥳🥳🎅🎄
Congratulations Junior Championships winners today
Rewarding day on Tuesday, helping some members of the Blind Veterans UK hit some golf balls again on our practice facilites. Something they had not been able to do for some while. We must not take our sight for granted - enjoy seeing the course, the good and the bad shots !
Rain ? What rain... How lucky are we to have a course so playable after this weeks awful weather.
Early morning, looks inviting today ?
First outing for our new Baroness hand-mower this morning. It will allow us to give that 'extra bit' to the presentation of the greens and over time will help with the speed of the greens. Takes a little longer but should be well worth it plus keeps the greens staff active!
Phew... a Bank Holiday scorcher! Well done to everyone who played and survived the heat in the Mixed BH event on Monday. We hope to see you all again next year.
Great weather for ducks and dedicated greenkeepers ! Greens maintenance week waits for nobody.
Ladies Captain's Day today. Great turnout from our Ladies Section to support Sue and wonderful weather too. The 'no putter' rule did cause some angst on the tee ! Course in great condition once again and a big thank you to all the helpers and starters.
Vets Past Captains day today. Glad to see some 'old' faces back at the club.
Congratulations to the winners yesterday and everyone who survived 36 holes in testing conditions, particularly the extreme heat on Saturday.Thank you to everyone involved in the running of the day and all those who either stayed or came back on Sunday afternoon for the finale, BBQ and presentations.
1st Round scores from the Championships . Cooler weather conditions today will be more comfortable for the players. Traditional 2nd Round pin position on the 18th .... tricky! Pre-round sportsmans breakfast all round on the patio. Good luck everyone.
