Due to a significant increase in bookings at Alsager Civic and new regular hirings we need to expand our team to meet the demand and ensure we deliver the highest possible customer service and a lovely clean welcoming venue 😊
Position 1 - Permanent Part Time Bar Supervisor / Venue Host - Fixed 6 hours a week (to be worked Friday to Sunday) with flexibility up to 12 hours. Great rate of pay. Do you have a really pleasant personality, love a challenge, eager to offer excellent ...customer service, a keen eye for detail, bar and cash handling experience, great team player with the ability to lead and finally be flexible at weekends. Rotas are set on a monthly basis and some weekends may involve only one 6 hour shift.
Position 2 - Casual General Assistant, various hours depending upon demand and staff holidays. National living wage plus holiday allowance. Our general assistants are usually the main point of contact for our customers during their time in the Civic. A flexible can do attitude is a must. You must be happy to carry out a variation of tasks from room set-ups and clearance (manual handling involved), cleaning, sound and lighting equipment operation, first aid and fire warden. Full training will be given to the right candidate. Flexibility Monday to Sunday and again rotas are set on a monthly basis. This role may suit someone semi retired or looking to fill some time.
Position 3 - Casual Bar and Venue Staff - National living wage plus holiday allowance. Are you over 18, experienced in bar work, happy to work weekends? We are looking for smartly presented, friendly applicants with a flexible can do attitude to join our fabulous team. As a large busy venue our bar staff are also involved in front of house duties including room set ups and clearance so manual handling is a requirement. As a casual role, hours cannot be guaranteed however this also offers potential applicants their own flexibility.

NYE 2019 oh yes!!!! We are all set for our SOLD OUT Family NYE Party tonight! Tables are set, food is ordered, the bar is stocked and the DJ is uber excited 😆 Doors open at 7.30 with all groups having a reserved table. Please note that due to the room being set with reserved tables and food sharing platters being ordered we are unable to accommodate any changes to groups now. We would like to say a huge thank you to all our customers over 2018! It's been a fantastic year for Alsager Civic in every aspect and we have enjoyed every minute. The Civic is closed the majority of the festive period, other than for events, however enquiries via facebook will be monitored and responded to outside the bank holidays. We use the Alsager Civic as the venue for our Dance School productions. They are fantastic!! The staff are extremely accommodating and always willing to help. The venue itself is brilliant with lots of facilities and its reasonably priced. Thank you to Andrea and her team for everything you have done to help us. We held a school leavers party for local year 6 pupils and their families here on a Friday evening. The venue was great; there was plenty of space in the kitchen for catering, plenty of space for the buffet, tonnes of room for dancing for all and the bar was reasonably priced for the adults too. staff were so helpful and accommodating and this made a huge difference to those who decorated the room for the event. Thank you Alsager Civic for helping us to create a memorable event for local children which everyone enjoyed!

We had our wedding here 10/3/17 and I don't think we could of chosen anywhere better! Everything was absolutely perfect. The room looked beautiful, we were all just expecting a register office look to it but you blew us away with how it was all laid out. Thank you again and I would definitely recommend this venue for any occasion

We got married, had our wedding breakfast and reception at Alsager civic and they were amazing from start to finish. Andrea and her team were friendly, professional, easy going and a joy to plan our day with, nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I are so grateful and delighted with how well it all went. We are so happy that we chose alsager civic for our wedding venue in september it was perfect! We had the ceremony, a 4 course meal, then lots of drinking and dancing into the night all under one roof, everybody commented that it was the best wedding they had been to! Great choice of lovely rooms. Andrea and her team are absolutely fantastic, there sole aim is to make your day run exactly how you want it. I can't thank you all enough x

The staff were amazing, Andrea was very supportive on what we wanted and how we wanted it, big thanks to the guy on the door who made sure all the kids were safe and could not go out unless with an adult thanks all for make mine and my now new wife's days Evan more special :)

Thank you so much to Andrea and all the staff at the Civic who worked so hard to support us in organising our Retirement Party last night. It was amazing. The venue is brilliant and we would recommend it to anyone. Nothing was too much trouble.

Our children had a joint birthday party here a few weeks ago, everyone absolutely loved it. People were calling it 'the party of the year' �



The venue is beautiful, great facilities with the music / lights / catering and lovely staff. The hall was big enough for a bouncy castle, soft play area, 50 children with parents and enough space left for games and lots of fun.



Andrew was very helpful, he organised the tables, chairs, music, lights and opened up the bar for our guests. He even helped clear up at the end of a very long day. I'm so glad he was there from the start of the day to the end. I would ask for him to be on shift when we have another function.



Ladies in the office were very helpful with organising the big day. For please of mind at a little extra charge the room can come with bouncy castle, soft play, room decor, party entertainer.



All in all a fabulous venue, lovely staff and fantastic customer service. I would definitely recommend to all my friends.

My Fiancé & I had our engagement party here last Saturday night & we just can not thank Alsager Civic enough! From booking the venue with the office ladies last year, who are absolutely fantastic!! To receiving a lovely phone call the week after to ask how the party went. Everything Marc and I asked for they did for us and everything ran smoothly and exactly how we wanted. On the night, the staff on the bar were great and the security guys were lovely too. All our guests also commented on how beautiful and modern the venue was as well. We were both so grateful for everything you all did for us. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!��

I have 2 reviews , my first for The club classics night , we had a fantastic night & danced our feet off , we had a great night , the only thing I would say was the food wasn’t great but I didn’t go for that.

My 2nd review is for the family New Years Eve Party.

Again we had a great night , 4 adults & 5 kids , well one 16 year old , 3 teens & an 11 year old , 3 of which weren’t looking forward to going lol but they had a great night , we were last to go haha �, again my only fault would be the food , maybe an idea to ask for food preferences as for the club night ,

All in all had a great time on both nights & will definitely be going again this year ��

I cannot thank everyone at Alsager civic for letting me host my sons 2nd birthday party here Today. Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish, office ladies fantastic and very informative and friendly, and the caretaking staff and bar staff who couldn't help enough. What a fantastic team you have we've all had a lovely day, and everyone has commented on how lovely the venue was.

Hired out Alsager Civic for my Daughter's 4th Birthday Party on 21/06/2015. I must say what fantastic service we received from the initial booking through to the event itself. The venue is brilliant for children's parties - lots of space, music and lighting facilities available and lovely and clean. Lots of different packages are available. Andrea & Nolana really helped, offering lots of advice as it was the first party I'd planned, outside of home! They really took the stress out of the whole experience. Andrew set out the hall as requested and was on hand, helping with any queries we had - nothing was too much trouble for him. I would highly recommend this venue for many types of events - thank you Alsager Civic.

Had a brilliant time at Alsager Civics comedy club night! The whole night went down a treat with the whole of alsager! The comedians and compere were hilarious and had everyone crying with laughter! The room looked amazing too!! A well executed night � well done Alsager Civic!!!! Xxx

Fantastic comedy night last night hosted by the civic. So pleased the event was a sell out the acts were great, staff very helpful and so nice to have such a lovely venue as our local.

Absolutely fantastic venue for our wedding! I cannot thank Andrea and her team enough for all their hard work. It made planning a wedding a lot less stressful knowing Andrea and her team were on hand any time I needed them. Thank you so much xx

Room was great and clean. However made things a bit stressful in the run up to the day, making it awkward for the DJ to come and set up and the time the room would be available from as there was another wedding that day.

I find it extremely difficult to rate. The club classics was a great night out. The music was fabulous, and we danced the night away. However, our food was served long after everybody else’s, and the lights had gone off, so we couldn’t see what we were eating. It wasn’t nice either. Nor did we get the 2nd course?! The bar wouldn’t serve the rhubarb gin with normal tonic, even though we’d already ordered one like this previously. Over all a good night. I’d consider going again without food options and a lower ticket price.

I was also shocked to witness the abusive behaviour of the employee who was designated the job of closing up the venue following an event I attended today. He was literally throwing tables around the room next to a young hearing impaired child even after her parents had pointed out that his behaviour was distressing her. He was verbally abusive (shouting at them across the room) and physically agressive (posturing) to several people attempting to take down their stands... He hounded one of the exhibitors who was experiencing a migraine, upsetting her greatly. An extremely unpleasant and rude individual... i hope that he will be severely reprimanded..
