We love seeing the Deer enjoy the fields around the site. How many of you have been lucky enough to spot one or two?

There's definitely an Autumnal feel about today, just look at the beautiful colours of the hedge and the campsites bordering trees.

We stayed with our small touring caravan at Alston farm for 8 nights last week, and had an absolutely fantastic time!! It was so peaceful and quiet, and the site owners were lovely and so helpful. The shower/ toilet facilities etc were great. We are already planning our next stay later on in the year! Cannot recommend it enough.

User

This was our 2nd visit to Alston Farm. We stayed for 4 nights with our 2 dogs

with the intention of going back to the places we visited in May. Problem was we found even more things to do this time!. Have now come to the conclusion that we have got to have a much longer stay at this wonderful place! We cant wait to go back Many thanks!!

Set in a very idyllic part of the south downs. Very quiet freindly park. Very reasonable prices for this part of the country. Will be returning in the future. Thank you for a pleasent stay.

Lovely site just a couple of miles from the wonderful town of Salcombe. The site is nice and peaceful and is set in some beautiful countryside. We stayed for a week in their dog friendly static caravan which was well appointed and very clean. Great location, friendly and helpful owners, we'll definitely be going back!

User

Just returned from 8 days at Alston. We had a ball! The awesome weather helped!! Toilets are basic but adequate and clean. Staff are lovely too! It got extremely busy at the weekend as people almost camped on top of us for the hook up!! We will definitely be back!!!

Been coming to Alston Farm for 7/ 8 years.

A friend invited us to come down with them, at the time I had a tent, the weather was dreadful and the tent was broken. We stayed in our friends caravan and a few days later we got our own caravan for here.

Not looked back since.

The staff are friendly, kind and helpful.

There is a large group of us who come down a few times a year, it is great to see the children running around and having fun. They children are aged from babies to teenagers and they all enjoy being here.

There is a lovely area for walking.

There is a little shop on site, shower rooms (showers take 20p coins, we put ours in a jar throughout the year, tends to cost 40p a shower), hair drier, washing machine and drier. Sinks for washing up your dishes, some have dish drainers. Plenty of toilets. Really nice hand wash/ liquid soap.

There is a pizza company who call down once a week and they cook your pizza in front of you in a large oven. A chippy van also comes down once a week.

There are rabbits running around the site when it starts to get dark, pheasants running around the lanes.

The signal for TV and wifi is low, which is good as it gets the children out and playing, but if you do want wifi you can access the sites wifi network and it doesn't cost too much.

All the campers I have spoken to have always been nice people. Very helpful if they see you could do with some help.

I love coming here.

There are plenty of places to visit.
