Each year, Altruist Enterprises provides thousands of employees with the skills to support themselves and each other, through the many challenges of work and home. We also travel to schools to open discussions around mental health and increase self-esteem amongst young people. We provide a range of courses which cater to the needs of managers, the wider employee base and in-house training teams. We work in partnership with our clients to ensure effective management of well-being in the workplace using the following steps: • Prevention - boosting confidence and building employee resilience. Providing organisations with the tools to implement relevant internal processes, whilst adhering to workplace Equality and Health and Safety regulations. • Early Identification - increasing understanding and enabling managers and employees to spot the early signs of stress and mental ill-health within themselves and colleagues. • Support - providing staff with techniques to maintain their emotional wellbeing, encouraging useful conversations and enabling managers and employees to signpost colleagues to appropriate support in a timely manner. Altruist Enterprises was founded in 2013 by Katie Buckingham, an award winning social entrepreneur with personal experience of mental ill-health. Irritated by the lack of awareness of stress and mental health, Altruist was formed with the vision of achieving 'parity of esteem' between physical and mental health in the workplace. We aim to increase knowledge, encourage conversations and build confidence around the issue; thus ensuring healthy, motivated and more productive workforces.
