About Amadeus Mediators

Amadeus is an NGO with a vision to train a new generation of Israeli and Palestinian leaders to work together for a more secure future.

Amadeus Mediators Description

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the longest and most entrenched conflict in human history. Despite decades of international diplomatic effort and numerous peace conferences and accords, the conflict continues unabated. How has this happened? In part, it is because the West has misunderstood a key driving force: culture.

The cultural differences, and their influence on the respective parties in this dispute, are considerable, often driven by deeply held political- religious beliefs. Without a full understanding of these, peace cannot be secured. True change will only come when those directly impacted are motivated to work together for a secure future by creating realistic prospects for peace themselves. Peace cannot be imposed by external political influences or the international community, but must come from within. To achieve this requires cultural change in order that long held values and ideologies can be replaced with a more progressive approach. Facilitating this process of cultural change calls for a newer younger generation of more open-minded leaders, empowered to do what their forefathers have not managed to do.

Working with the support of the British, European, Israeli and Palestinian governments, Amadeus now seeks to train and equip future political leaders from both sides to create realistic and attainable resolutions.

If you are a Palestinian or Israeli aged 23-35, and would like to positively impact the future for your respective people, we’d like to hear from you. Apply now for our two-week pilot programme in the UK later this year. It’s free and the application process is totally confidential.
