After an urgent request last night from some GWH nurses working on the COVID-19 front line we today made 24 draw string laundry bags for their uniforms to go in and then be put straight in the wash reducing the contact risk at their own homes after shifts. These were made from spare shop stock fabric and have been made and donated free of charge. We would like to make more but as we have no more suitable fabric we would like to ask our community if they have fabric that we co...uld use. We can use old bed sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases. They have to be able to be washed at 60 degrees without running. If anyone has any of these items spare we would gladly put them to use. We would kindly ask that they are washed on a 60 degree wash before bringing to us to reduce infection risks. They can be left at the shop during business hours by knocking on the door and leaving at the door where we will collect them.

After this evening’s announcement we will sadly have to close our doors. We can however continue to do as much work as possible from home and behind closed doors. This will of course cause delays in returning some items but we will endeavour to do whatever is safe within current restrictions and guidelines.

In light of the news this evening we would like our customers to know that we will still be open whilst practicing safe procedures and social distancing including hygiene safety recommendations. We will however prefer it if our customers called to make appointments so that we can minimise contact.
We are also offering all the fantastic key workers free repairs and urgent adjustments on items of work uniform in order to help you continue your valued work. Please call in advance to book work in and ensure that it arrives in a bag so we can take additional fabric isolation procedures where necessary.

Another super blind, this time in a stunning wool tartan, left the studio today with a matching set of cushion covers. This looked fab, at least we think so.

Here is our Susie Watson Roman blind, a really hard fabric to make into a blind due to its lightweight linen texture and especially as it is oversized in the width with pattern match joins, too wide to fit the full blind in this picture. The client was delighted @susiewatsondesigns

We do not normally supply plastic garment bags due to environmental concerns but we are prepared to do so to allay client fears.
