Amaretto IV is a brand new catamaran situated in beautiful Lyme Regis at the very heart of Lyme Bay.
This is Lyme Regis’s first and only catamaran available for Sport Angling. Purpose built and equipped especially for angling with all the very latest technology and quality tackle available for hire.
Not only the fastest charter boat In Lyme Regis but also the most stable and comfortable (catamarans are forty times more stable than a mono-hull of similar size).
In addition to our usual charters we can also offer SHARK FISHING, FLY FISHING and TROLLING FOR TUNA (don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! )

Another great day at sea yesterday. This season Bream are the gift that just keeps giving. Not going to talk numbers, just to say there were plenty! Best fish took the scales down to 3Ib. In the afternoon we gave wrecking a go and we’re rewarded with Pollack and Bass. Best Bass calculated at 6Ib. Weekend forecast good and although fully booked tomorrow we do have a couple of spaces available for the Black Bream festival on Sunday.
Day two of the Gran Tarajal billfish festival. Day 1 only one Marlin caught but TEAM AMARETTO had three Marlin raised but no takes, despite the prayers and blessings from Gandhi! Spirits high on day 2 so here’s hoping.
Just a few boat pictures of the last great day out in the Lyme Bay Reserve. Plenty of plump hard fighting Black Bream - super day. Next stop Fuerteventura where TEAM AMARETTO will be taking part in the Gran Tarajal International Bill Fish Festival. Bring on the Marlin !!!!!
Well yet another SCORCHER!! Pushed further afield today to give the mid channel wrecks a go. Very hot, flat calm but the fish did come out to play. Best of the day was this Pollack at a knat’s under 15 pound. 14:10oz to be precise so that must be some Knat !!!!

Great weekend fishing the JURASSIC OPEN out of Westbay. Terrific first day for Team Amaretto taking the round fish pool and best pair of specimens. The top quality Black Bream did the business for us. Mike Hansel below with two cracking Bream - now how can I get him to smile?
Plenty of these around but “the suits” decree that we must return every single one. On the plus side we can watch the commercial boats alongside us loading up with Bass and laughing at us! Never mind though we have The Angling Trust fighting our corner. You really couldn’t make it up!
All in position and going through the checks ready to go live at 8pm.

After a days filming for the BBC it’s good to get back to fishing!
Bream are now showing well with a good average size. Best so far today 3Ib 9oz. Back filming Monday and Tuesday. Will keep you posted.
It just gets better and better! Perfect weather, Bream are showing and this is how Amaretto IV celebrated England’s win on Saturday.
IT’S COMING HOME
Perfect weather and fishing to match!!!! Plenty of Pollack plus Bream, Thornbacks and Conger to just under 60Ib. All of this while listening to England score 6 goals. Living the dream!!!!
After our recent “expeditions” to distant seas it’s great to be back on home waters again. Today the Lyme Bay Reserve yielded some great Pollack fishing plus plenty of other species. Weather now set fair for the foreseeable so bring it on !!!
Fabulous four day Dartmouth trip. Brisk Southwest 5/6 this morning but not a problem for Amaretto IV and The Peakie Blinders - especially with the help of ac/dc!!
Dartmouth at it’s very best! Plenty of plump Pollack from the wrecks for Brummie Dave and The Peakie Blinders and now two days on The Skerries to look forward to.
First Turbot for Ian McCarthy and hopefully more to come. Forecast looking good so let’s hope Alderney gives us a few more like this.
