This Zoo is quite different from most, being situated in a heavily wooded area. The animals are unique to South America and most seem to be in comfortable living quarters. The only building is the entrance/exit which also houses the gift shop, a very nice café, and a soft play area for the active 'urban monkies' There is only one toilet/changing facility, but it wouldn't take long to back track the centre.
Highly recommended.

Friendly staff and super and very child friendly. Lots of car parking nicely planted out with trees meaning your car is protected from the sun and visually so good to the usual tarmac expanses one usually sees. Food is of a better quality than most attractions and the cafeteria is pleased and clean. Highly recommended for adults and children alike.

Well laid out and interesting exhibits. Animals seem happy. Lovely few hours spent walking around. Cafe was good value and the food equal in quality to similar in town.
Would visit again.

Fantastic place, my daughter loves coming here. The outdoor and indoor play areas are brilliant. The animals are very well looked after and the keepers are happy to talk to you and answer any questions. There is a cafe which serves hot and cold food that overlooks the large duck pond, but there is a large picnic area aswell. We spent around 3 hours here but you could spend more time here especially when the children see the play areas.

Lovely little zoo. The animals enclosures were all nice and clean and they looked well looked after.

Not really a 'zoo' more an animal park as it is quite small. However a nice day trip for smaller people and worth it at around £10 per adult. Nice location for a picnic and a wander. There is also a soft play place for toddlers and children up to 12. The cafe is nice for an afternoon cup of tea and relax before heading home.

Wish I'd been here earlier as it's much nicer than I expected. Set amongst woodland there's an interesting mix of South American birds, cats and animals. The tropical centre is a welcome escape on a chilly day, and there's a soft play area for the little ones. The free-roaming hares are a nice touch.

Really nice setting, some of the monkeys are on islands in a lake. The people who work there were really nice. The big cat area was good and the animals look happier than in some zoos.

They also have some unusual creatures roaming free (Mara I think), babies as well.

Landscaping around the zoo and car park is to a high standard. Was easy to find a picnic table.

Cafe was inexpensive, usually quite costly in this sort of place. Soup and a roll was £3.50, about the same as a supermarket cafe. We we there for about 5 hours.

A small Zoo, but really nice.
