Wow wow wow what an amazing hotel.my husband and I were celebrating our birthdays and wedding anniversary and stayed here for two nights from start to finish everything was perfect even a cake in our room to help us celebrate. Every member of staff we came across always had a smile and cheery greeting we are all ready planning to come back same time next year.Thank you for making our stay special.The location is perfect for all you sightseeing needs highly recommend.

Went for a last minute afternoon tea and it was great. Service, food, other patrons and especially whichever waitress decided to surprise my mum with more cake after the platter without being asked. Will definitely be back.

We arranged to meet a business friend to go through some bits and pieces. We found the bar / lounge perfect for what we needed and the light bite food was excellent and served by the most wonderful and attentive staff. We have every intention of visiting for lunch (overlooking Trafalgar Square) as soon as practical.

The staff at the Amba are top notch. We arrived at 9am after an overnight flight and not only did they check us in early, they upgraded our room! Everyday the staff was attentive and very friendly. The location is close to everything...either by walking or the many underground stations nearby. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of nightlife, but you would never know it...because the sound proofing is superior. Our room was quite spacious...and the complimentary mini bar was restocked every day. WiFi is fast and free. The decor is really nice, the bathroom quite large and everything is modern with a touch of luxury. This was our second stay at Amba...and we plan to stay there during future trips.

Stayed at this hotel for a night with my girlfriend as part of a theatre package.

Had a very nice treat when we arrived in our room, as it was my girlfriends birthday, they had made a nice cake for her with a very nice hand written card.

I was very impressed!

The room was great, very clean and tidy.

Location was ideal for what we needed it for.

Breakfast in bed was a real treat, had a full English delivered to the room and the food was amazing!

The staff in the hotel are all very friendly and helpful.



I will definitely be coming back to stay again.

I stayed here last week with my 2 kids what a beautiful place to stay and top class service also a beautiful breakfast my dsughter has a severe nut allergy and she was well catered for would really recommend this hotel �

I stayed at Amba Hotel Charing Cross, and it was a great experience as expected because of average 5-star rating on TripAdvisor after a few thousands reviews! From the best location for tourists (it's walkable to most attractions and located near Covent Garden next to the big Charing Cross station) to courteous and helpful staff to free water everywhere (minibar, front desk, gym) to keep guests hydrated! The minibar is also complimentary even there are only a couple of items besides water and soda. Big shoutout to the young gentleman Nick at the front desk who was helpful during my stay including helping to haul my too many huge luggage pieces � to the Uber pickup point nearby! Oh, and there is champagne at the front desk to enjoy ���� If I need to be picky, I wish the gym could be bigger as it's pretty small and there are only 2 treadmills (I had to wait for my turn)...Will stay here whenever I can visit London again.

From the first class customer service (particularly Niels and Alexandra) to the upgraded room (because we arrived early and our room was not ready) to the personal card and chocolates to the lovely food and exceptional room quality! It's not just a room & a bed, staying at the Amba Hotel Charing Cross is an experience. Everything about the hotel oozes luxury & top quality, professional service from all staff. Above and beyond all expectations & previous experiences elsewhere.

After contacting management to notify of last minute flight changes & a late arrival, we were warmly welcomed at 1am with a quick checkin, drink of water & a free upgrade to an executive suite.

The location is unbelievable, so convenient & central! A walk down the street & you are in Trafalgar Square!

The buffet breakfast is a must-do if you want a choice of everything you can possibly wish for...& if you're seated in the terrace, an exciting view to start the day.

You will not walk through the hotel without staff warmly greeting you. The in-room tablet had lots of helpful information for us as tourists which was much appreciated & we loved the Smart TV too. FREE snacks & drinks daily in our room fridge was an extra special touch.

The bed - like sleeping in a perfect cloud...we wanted to take it with us! Seriously the best bed ever, we miss it & are looking at buying one!

So many positives, that even though we were continuing our travels, we didn't want to leave.

It's been almost a month since our visit, but we are still telling all our friends & family about it & can't wait to return.

We went for afternoon tea . The food was fresh , plentiful and delicious. The service was also very good . This is the second time I have been to this hotel and on both occasions have been very satisfied with the customer service and quality of food . Would definitely recommend this place as conveniently located and beautiful ambience.

Our stay for 5 nights was definitely 4.5 stars. Staff were great, they greeted us each time we enter and exist. We got a great room with lounger service, which I highly recommend.

Maria welcomed us in reception and was truly amazing.

We were early and she checked every room and found one was ready and allowed us to check in at 10.30am.

The room was fabulous, free mini bar, fresh fruit and a nespresso coffee , so for me perfect.

Room was clean and an excellent size, all ten of us had a refreshing drink before we made our way out.

We checked in the other four rooms and they were all of equal or improved standard.

We returned from theatre and bar staff on first floor really let the rest of our experience down, staff were inattentive and left us waiting for the bill.

However we were not put off and went to our rooms and had a great nights sleep with no disturbance.

Breakfast was delicious and there was something for everyone.

We checked out and Maria was her usual helpful friendly self, a superstar!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Business or pleasure you will not be disappointed I'm sure.

Just come back from a 2 night stay at the Amba with my wife. We have stayed there many times before and have always had a a great stay. Because we have been a number of times before we have frequently been upgraded to executive so we were disappointed this time when we discovered we had a very small room. I guess we have been spoiled by the previous upgrades but in general this stay wasn't at the usual level. Apart from the size of the room our first night was also very noisy. The people in the room above vacated it early in the morning so the cleaners set about preparing the room and made a lot of noise. The floor above squeaked incessantly. Coupled with a smaller bed than we are used to it didn't make for a good night's sleep. As usual the staff were excellent and the room was clean. Breakfast was very good also but as a package our stay wasn't worth the £454 we paid!

I think this hotel is very good for its location, the staff are excellent and the food was good. I am lucky to stay in lots of excellent hotels so I rate this one as very good. The room was nice but small for the price, the room service was fast, the room service food was very tasteless though which was a shame. However the hotel is good and I would recommend it

We were six guest arriving for a evening meal which we booked six weeks in advance with yourselves on a Travelzool deal. There was nobody to greet us until 10 mins later an elderly waitress took us to a table, handed over our vouchers, started to order when she then realise she had given us the the wrong menu. Asked if the prawns had heads on she answered yes, but when the Prawn starters arrived they didn’t, only 5 starters out six arrived so had to wait another five minutes. Had to ask for the sparking wine, also wine menu. When the bottle arrived and she took the cork out she left without asking us to taste!, we made her wait whilst we tasted it, it was fine.Our dinner was ok, the butter sauce to put on the salmon was cold, by then we had had enough with this slap dash service,until another wine waiteress saw we were very unhappy came over and saved the evening, apoloise with a glass of champagne and offered us coffee with our deserts. We’ve all dined there before without any problems in Your terrace restaurant but we were in the overspill restaurant by the bar!
