Amber Support: Dementia Support Specialist

Amber Support is a bespoke respite service in the familiar surroundings and security of your own home. Amber Support is a unique care provision with only one carer, I do not employ other carers and I do not work for an agency. I have created Amber Support as a person centred respite care service to achieve two key solutions: • Enabling the carer to have some time to recharge, reset, rest and socialise away from the burden of caring• Enabling the person being cared for to have a meaningful interaction with a carer who will truly engage with them physically, mentally and emotionally. Home is where the heart is so I will provide individual care that enables your loved one to feel safe and independent in their own familiar space - your own home. I respect the foundation of family values and I will work with you and your family to make sure you are always in control of your loved ones care and support. Engaging my service can have many benefits for your loved one, from assistance with daily tasks to friendly conversation. My aim will always be to create meaningful activities that are unique to the individual and make sure they are fully engaged and safe at all times. As a familiar visitor, I can bring a reassuring sense of security and can help prevent loneliness. Care can be arranged by the hour, on any day of the week. You can also arrange multiple visits in one day, if you wish for more than one hour we can discuss rates. Whether you want visits that are just once a week for an hour or more intensive support for a long standing condition, I can provide a bespoke care package that is entirely focused around your family - the only person who decides your care package is you.
