Ambleside (Waterhead Pier) - Windermere Lake Cruises Ltd

Nice place to go in summer I been in winter wasn't that great

Great way of seeing the lakes, some excellent cruises on offer, including a walkers boat to Wrey Castle,and a combined ticket to the Lakeland Motor Museum . There is an excellent commentary on the cruise, the larger boats Swan ,Teal ,Tern are vintage boats kept in magnificent working order. There is a Shuttle bus that runs in the day time from the cruise terminal at Waterhead to Ambleside town centre .

i like boats, i like turtles. There were no turtles. >:(

Always call for a beer and wine in the pier cafe at the start of our weekend away in the lakes before going to bowness for the day. Great little cafe with a good selection of food.

What a beautiful scenric place with breathtaking views. Waterfall is just 20 minutes of walk. Fish and chips taste so good even the air feel a lot cleaner. Boat ride is a must.
