The guys at DMG UK asked us to test their LuxaCAM PMMA 98x15 Multilayer. 🤔
We tried this puck on a 6 unit Anterior case seen in the picture and I can say the technichans were impressed! For a temp material it holds up very well, maybe this multila...yer PMMA might make its way into our repertoire! 😏

We now operate with a majority digital workflow in the lab, analogue impressions especially over the last few years are losing their value mainly d...ue to the workflows that can be utilised from digital scans, as everyone knows; truthfully the degree of accuracy from a well taken silicon impression still currently can not be matched. 🤔
But here is what to ask yourself,
"To what extent can we sacrifice accuracy of an impression to better enhance workflows and become more time efficient? Where can the line be drawn to find a happy medium?" 😏

DO SOMETHING GOOD AT CHRISTMAS🎄🥳 In our industry and I am sure many others at time of year, we and all of the people we work with send enormous hampers to one another as a thank you for all the support and to show appreciation for the working relationship we have built. 💁🏻‍♂️😎 This confectionary ends up costing a lot of money, and I mean it really tally’s up to a ludicrous amount for chocolate and cheese! 🧀 This year we decided to do something different, as much as we truly v...alue our clients and the companies we work with we decided to donate the proceedings we would usually spend on chocolate to people that really really need it, people that will be alone or homeless this Christmas, people in need of a little company and a safe place to eat and feel loved. 😔 We have chosen The Salvation Army United Kingdom with the Republic of Ireland . Help the people closest to you and in your community, if everyone applied this the world would be a much simpler place. ☺️ Especially how divided the country truly is at the moment, with the election and a whole host of real world problems, suddenly chocolate doesn’t seem that important. ☺️🍫 We can argue and bicker about who should do what, but that doesn’t matter when someone could potentially be helped 🎄 Look after one another and spread awareness for the people that need it this Christmas! 🎅 We were not going to say how much we donated as we didn’t deem it necessary, but if your still reading to put things in perspective. The lovely lady we handed the cheque over to said with the amount we donated which was £500 would pay for 40 peoples Christmas dinner, that’s everyone attending, it would also pay for a sandwich on a little bag for them all to take home, and also a gift for each person, that’s 40 peoples Christmas’ 🤪🤪 It’s crazy, and the best part is anyone can go to the Salvation Army, they welcome anyone from any walk fo life. Art is created for beauty, tell a story, provoke an emotional reaction appreciated by individuals. The creator and onlookers personal feelings and tastes are used to form an opinion. For example Picasso using the medium of painting to express ideas and emotions. The viewer's reception of those ideas and emotions are subjective of course.
In regard to our work, our art. This is very much subjective, different patients and dentists like different styles but anyone can appr...eciate beautiful work when they see it, no matter your background or opinions.

“Avast ya skallywags this be a secure investment pre-Brexit I say aye” This patient now has a total of 8 Gold crowns and that’s just on their lower jaw, with the hope for more…..
There is more of a sad story to this though, they had had restorative treatment done previously when they were younger. The porcelain crowns gave them headaches, they were ill fitting, they could barely sleep, their grinding and uneven bite gave them terrible jaw pain. That was until the dentist and ...us came together. We initially replaced three crowns with 60% full gold ones, one of our quality technicians corrected their bite as to prevent the headaches and the feedback we got was amazing…..
No headaches, they were in awe.
The first good night’s sleep in years, they were that pleased they requested to get the other five done on the opposite side of her lower jaw in gold, these are the five represented in the image.
Some seriously cool teeth.
Whether they are investing in gold or secretly a pirate we will never know. But we like to think the latter……
Either way at least they can have a peaceful pain free life.
