About Amcs
The A. M. C. S was formed in 1967. We put on two shows a year in Cannock. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings and always welcome new members.
Amcs Description
Aldridge Musical Comedy Society was founded 50 years ago this year and will have been performing shows for 50 years in 2018. We are a lively, friendly society that are always looking to welcome new members to join us on stage.
We perform two shows a year, primarily at the Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock. We rehearsal every Wednesday at Keeling School of Dance from 7: 30pm.
Our next show will be Smokey Joe's Cafe in November 2017.

🎭 Meet the Cast Monday! 🎭
What is your name? Julie Lamb
... What's your Characters name? I don't have one! I'm the Director, chorus member and dancer. I play an Aristocrat, Cockney and Servant
How long have you been with AMCS? Since 1990, 29 years and a life member.
What's your favourite show at the moment? Jersey Boys. I've seen it 11 times and it simply amazes me. Such a feel good show with so may well known songs. Four guys that can make that sound and create wonderful harmonies is pure perfection. Slick choreography that never falters.
If you could sing one song on stage what would it be? 'We're in the Money' from 42nd Street. One of my favourite shows and to have a full company tap dancing with me would be incredible. Especially on dimes!
What has been your favourite show to perform and why? That's a tough one as I have done over 50 shows with AMCS. Oklahoma 1991, Me and my Girl 2002, Hot Mikado 2005 were fab shows. My favourite will always be Heroes and Sweethearts 2015 - a subject close to my heart and to Direct my own creation was amazing.
Who is your favourite character? In this production I love them all. Everyone has worked so hard to bring their characters to life. But I can't stop laughing at Gerald. Peter is amazing and brightens my day. I am so pleased he has joined us for this show.
What song are you most looking forward to in Me and my Girl? I love close harmony singing so 'Weekend at Hareford' and 'English Gentleman'. Can't wait to get on stage and perform these
