What a sunny morning it is! I'm writing my next blog post today and starting work on designing an event stand for the lovely @leanacatherine at excel. What are you up to today??
I've finally finished the storage consoles for my TV units in my living room! Admittedly I started building them all but @cheggers1986 came to rescue and hung all the door properly and put them up. Anyone close to me will tell you I'm a bit impatient, I tried to finish building them the night before our holiday last week 😬... Hmmm a bit more work than I anticipated - thanks Charles 😊🤗.

I've just finished packing. We're of to Lanzarote for a big Irish wedding!!. It's one of Charles's sisters that's getting married. I had a sneak peak of her dress a few months back (with her consent obvs) , it's stunning!!! My living room is coming along now. I bought some storage which I've been building by myself for the last day or two and I'm actually pretty chuffed with it. Haha. I am disappointed I didn't get it finish before the holiday though but that's me being impatient 🙃. Happy Thursday everyone!

My bespoke tiles have come!! How amazing are these beauties?!?! Hand made using resin by @bmartstuff. Take a look at thier page for art and canvases. I approached them about thier art and asked if they made tiles and although it's not something they usually do look what they've come up with. I'm over the moon! The colours and details are one of kind!. Bmartstuff make ready made canvases and bespoke to match decor perfectly. They will be featured in @cheshirelifemag so watch out. Good morning everyone I hope your refreshed after a lovely weekend in the sunshine! So I've been working on a project to make my own blog for a few weeks now and its taken me far to long, but I'm a perfectionist and that gets in the way!! Neither am I very tech savvy, so working out how to add bloomin' widgets onto to my page has taken double the time it would take anyone else I'm sure! 🤦‍♀️ (and its still not quite right). Good afternoon everyone! I've been working on a scheme for our kitchen. It's a small space with a low ceiling and one window. I'd like to create the illusion of space which I've tried to achieve by using light colours in the tiles, paint and units. The cupboards will be a matt white and the surfaces will be clean and clutter free. Storage can be a bit of an issue for us so I'm thinking of extending some units into the back of the living room as the kitchen is open plan. I lov...e the idea of marble but as we all know it comes with a price tag! I'm going to look into different options. I saw a vinal tile graphic which can be applied to walls by Rocket St George in Liberty last week, an interesting concept! The arch that surrounds the kitchen will be painted Mykonos reflection blue (which I've used in the living room already) and I'll hang plates on it scattered all around the opening. I've started a little collection of hand made blue and white plates, each unique with different character! Can't wait to see it all together.... So this post is my vision so far...

Who's up for a bit of pattern colour and texture?!... ME alwaaaays. My favourite things is to experiment. I've bought some texture in to reflect light with this silver cushion and used a velour cushion to capture light, I personally like the contrast. I've added pattern to bring all the colours together in this chinoiserie print and added a little extra spotty print to mix it up a bit. Why not. I think you'll either love it or hate it?!...

When we were first getting this room sorted Charles said to me let's go with something a bit more feminine, I've got six sisters and my mum bought us up with homely feminine things about the place (how sweet is Charles can I just say!). This was an ask! The girls have all got gorgeous homely homes and it was a bit daunting because I'm not really a big pink kinda gal so a pink feature wall had to be in the right tone, a bit understated but still feminine with a homely feel. In...troducing soft grey with texture in the carpet and the bed frame and grey on the other three walls with a soft pink feature wall worked. Once I had my base colours I added accent colours with the corn yellow and white. Although the pink and the corn yellow are contrasting colours they work well together! My favourite thing is finding this bobble cushion to tie both colours in... What do you think yay or nay?... Charles likes it! Pheweeee!

Shopping around... Loving the Neptune's shops they always feel like a home not an actual shop. Very cleaver USP.

Took a trip to IKEA last week. Great room sets and lively ideas for colour grades and soft textures. This Ochre yellow and deep blue is 👌

Finished our living room painting last night!... What do you think?
