American Adventure Theme Park (Permanently Closed)

Was a brilliant theme park to go to as a child, haven't been to the location in years. Heard that houses will be built here. But what's there at the minute is devastating from picture's I've seen on here. :( it's sad though. Would of loved taking my daughter here. Wondering whether or not to take her to the area this summer for a picnic by the lake. Unsure of it's safety tho. Anybody can tell me what it's like now?

When the kids were small we visited many times, but now it is a wasteland full of rubble and foliage out of control, what a travesty

Great place, came here when I was a kid, shame to see it in the state its in today, interesting walk though.

Went there as a kid, loved the missile and the waits were never extreme like other theme parks. My and my wife went exploring the ruins June 16. Sadly there is nothing left other than ruins and the lake. What was once a thriving theme park is now a eerie ruined waste land.

Been there many times when I lived in the area. Went on many rides. R.I.P. American Adventure
