Great food and drink served by very friendly efficient staff. Highly recommended.

Food was nice enough. Bit creamy for my liking but I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Italian food. Everyone else on the table enjoyed theirs. Kids menu isn't the cheapest.

Arrived in Torquay in the late afternoon, wandered around the town for a while to get our bearings and found this restaurant not far from our apartment. Does not look that brilliant from the outside but once the food arrives it doesn't matter. You need to reserve a table here & as we hadn't, the staff found us a table outside. The pasta & pizzas ordered were cooked fresh and all I can say is that they were better than we had when travelling through Italy. We booked a table that evening and returned to an interior table a few days later and the food and service were just as good as beforehand. Great food, friendly staff and good service, what more could you want?

Excellent service. Delicious food. Lovely atmosphere would definitely go back again thank you for a lovely evening ☺. Don't have to book during the week but would be advisable at the weekend.

I'm sitting here now. Can't fault the place at all! The place is packed yet the service was (is?) Exceptional. The guy at the door couldn't have been more accomodating trying to get us and other walk-in customers tables. He knew which tables would be leaving and the order that we walked in like a sixth sense. The waiters and waitresses that served us were polite and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and great value. We will be back.

Excellent food and drink, great service and atmosphere; very good prices. Menu not as varied as some Italian restaurants I have visited, but something for everyone nonetheless.

Very nice location. Weekend spent at a Hotel just a few minutes away from the resturant. My wife daughter and her husband were looking for somewhere to eat. Straight off Amici's looked very inviting. Everything about was brilliant. Food and service great.

Found by looking on Google for an Italian restaurant near our location - very lucky find! Clean and a well presented modern interior, staff friendly, food delicious and decent portion sizes. Price is average - good value for money. Recommend.

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing setting! Came for my 16th birthday, the staff all came out and sang happy birthday, some of the guests sang too! Great experience 10/10!! 😃

Divided opinion in a party of three

I visited with my two adult children at the beginning of August 2016 for a late lunch. Opinion is divided in our party. For one of us the food was well prepared, the portion sizes being average, the toilets were easily accessible (there is a specifically designated disabled toilet) and the prices were reasonable for the heart of a busy seaside town. The second said the place was fine, but not their favourite. The last person did not like Amici at all. They disliked the decor (for example, the cutlery was scratched and the tablecloth had holes in it, to give it an authentic Italian look, but it just looked worn out). Also they didn't like the waitress’ attitude (being asked whether we wanted something to drink and when saying, no thank you we’ll just order, the more senior waitress coming over to double check are we sure we don't want anything to drink - yes, my opinion of whether I want a drink does not change depending on who is asking me!). The food was described by them as “OK, but I’ve tasted better Italian for these prices”. So I’m giving it three stars, as this seems to be the middle of the road and a fair reflection on the experience our group had. If it was up to me, I’d visit again, but obviously if I am visiting with the same people I wouldn’t visit again, as I want everyone to enjoy their lunch. Therefore, it’s a bit of a 50%-50% whether you’d enjoy it if you visited too.

Fantastic service and food last night at Amicis. The table service was amazing, the staff are all Italian and have their own personality, are very professional and friendly. The food and restaurant was 5 *****, we will be returning again :) Recommend going
