This is the official page for the Ammunition Technical Trade. The Ammunition Technical trade is the home of the British Army's explosive engineers. Experts in logistics, inspection, maintenance and disposal of all Army Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (OME). We are specialists in Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) and Chemical, Biological, Radioactive and Nuclear (CBRN) weapon disposal. Non-Commissioned Officer complete basic military training within one of the Army Training Regiments or attend The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Officer training. They serve within the Royal Logistics Corps and on completion of the trade training, become subject matter experts in OME.
