UPDATE: Ampthill Great Park remains open for visitors to access on-foot via all the usual entry points - subject to the government's advice on social-distancing and self-isolation. The car parks are currently closed in response to a request from local Police, who have been tasked with enforcing the social-distancing rules and 'dispersing gatherings of more than 2 people' in our opens spaces; as stated in the the government guidance as provided in the link below. We will continue to review the need to close car parks with the police and will re-open them as soon as we are able to do so

8 - 10 Church Street Development
We have today received a call form the developer at 8-10 Church Street, [former Nat West] following the latest Government announcement and statement issued by the Prime Minister on Monday 23-03-20, which for the construction industry didnŌĆÖt provide essential clarity.
Further government update has been provided today 24-03-20 [at the time of writing], whereby construction sites can remain open.
... The situation remains confusing for developers and contractors and is summarised in the attached article from Building Magazine.
Whilst the developer and the wider community, of course wish to see the project completed, the decision has been made to suspend works and shut the site for the next three weeks, this will of course be reviewed as further government advice is released.
However the developer would like to advise that some works of a limited nature will continue today, the site will then close tonight but re-open on Thursday for the front elevation scaffold to be removed, this is of course currently on the basis that the scaffolding contractor remains operational and that Government advice isnŌĆÖt altered.
Should Government advise change during the interim period this may of course effect the ability to remove the scaffold.
The measures are being put in place in order to assist with the Governments attempts to combat spread of COVID-19
The developer would also like to advise the community that some activity may be seen from time to time in order to check on any maintenance issues, these would if required be a single person visit.

Message from Fittabus - for further information please visit https://flittabus.co.uk/
"It is with great regret that the committee have decided to suspend Flittabus services after Saturday 21st March, at least until the 4th of May.
This decision has not been taken lightly as we all pride ourselves on our reliability and recognise how important the service is to our passengers. The health and safety of our drivers, their families and our passengers all of which include vulnerable people is our primary concern"
