I would like to mention one lovely young lady who helped give my child first aid when he banged his head on the wall whilst jumping in tonight at the leisure centre. She was so calm, collected and effective to make sure Oliver, myself and my husband were ok. I would hope that the life guard who was working at around 7pm on the 25/8/16 with blonde hair would get recognition for her amazing work. Thankyou very much!
Huge thankyou to the staff today for facilitating Lewis and Patrick's birthday pool party. All the children had a great time and it was a lovely touch that you gave them each a birthday card. Several attending parents were impressed too. Many thanks x
Had my little boyŌĆÖs 6th birthday party in the pool and it was fab. We had the little pool to ourselves, loads of floats and toys to play with, kids could make as much noise as they liked and splash as much as they wanted. We also hired the room upstairs to have some food in afterwards, it was all laid out ready when we got there, CD player available, tables with cloths on etc. Would highly recommend this place for swim parties, the staff couldnŌĆÖt do more to accommodate us.
Brought my girls swimming here today due to Barton changing their swimming times. My eldest (who's only 7) joined in with the lane swimming and the lifeguard said how well she was doing. Another man made her feel really welcome and also said how well she was doing. Me and my youngest got to have some time casual swimming. Fab swimming pool and will definitely back!!
Been bringing my girls 10 years swimming can't fault it
Girls have come on amazing both fantastic swimmers can't fault the instructors all lovely
Made some great friends after sitting by the pool all these years
My favourite pool to swim in too
Only not enough showers in female changing rooms takes ages when you have long hair
Has everything I need. Good pool, good classes, fab gym, good customer service. I just wish they would spend some money on better, and more showers in poolside changing room. It's a scalding hot trickle of water. The ladies changing room down by the gym is better.
Had a lovely swim yesterday with my children. All great apart from the unisex changing rooms. Really hope they put it back how it was. You can see how uncomfortable everyone is...massive safeguarding issue in my opinion..
Great gym....great classes, enjoying linzis yoga at the moment... Good sized pool. Would be good to be able to book classes on line though as it can take an eternity to get through when the ladies on reception are busy.
All the gym equipment I need and never too busy. It's main flaw is that it opens too late in the morning. My working day starts at 8.30 and the gym opens between 7.30 and 8.30 so no chance of me getting anything done and driving to work on time. Fixing that it would go from 4* to 5*
After visiting last night, we did enjoy it but the small pool was very cold but the changing area was freezing and was shivering all the time trying to dress!
Come on put some warmth into these areas please.
When can we expect online booking? Trying to get through by telephone is a nightmare! Loved the Body Pump class though after a long break from it!
Swim most Fridays the only issue is the ladies changing room floor it is always dirty. I always ask staff if it can be cleaned while we are swimming but cleaning consists of a quick wipe of part of the floor last night most of the floor was still dirty after we swam and paper hair bobbles and talc was still on the floor along with urine on the cubicle floor
Normally I love coming to to Briggs for a swim with my children but was very disappointed with 1, the new locker size as a parent of 4 children I had to have 2 lockers which I didn't before and 2, with the fact that you have turned the changing rooms into unisex which I find very wrong given how small they are and the fact that the family changing cubical does not shut properly also the gaps at the bottom of the cubicals people can easy look under.
Still waiting for response from complaint I submitted weeks ago in relation to aqua fit sessions. Very unhelpful staff told I had to visit to see if any availability as a popular class. Asked if they could forward me an application by email told no I had to sign my application why could they not send me application form I would sign it and scan it back to them 'no I had to drive from Kirton Lindsey with no guarantee there would be available place. Complaint sent through NLC complaint process still waiting for response.
Generally good, having the little pool is excellent for taking young children and the changing area also works well for this.
Communication is very poor, having turned up for a casual session to find the pool shut I was shown the notice hidden away on a board with lots of other random notices. The website and this page failed to highlight the closure. I also have noticed that they have not even bothered to give a simple apology for this following the message I sent to highlight my disappointment, even though they have seen it and had days to reply. (Come on typing "we are sorry, we will consider putting it online in future,", isn't difficult!)
Lifeguards pay very little attention to the small pool, unless they are having a chat with people they know. Receptionists on the other hand are competent, polite and friendly.
Don't inform you that child has completed lessons you have to find out from the website then when you ring to cancel payments going out still try to charge you til September! Appalling customer service
Shutting at 3 over the xmas break is a joke ... I don't finish work till 4 and have to find alternative gyms to go to!! Needs sorting out
Just been in to try and use the gym. Explained that I was a member and I worked offshore and only wanted to use the gym for 1 session as I was away the next day so even though my membership required renewing could I pay for 1 session as paying for a full membership made no sense.
Was given a flat no from the staff. No effort to accommodate a customer or try and figure out a way around it. I've driven 13 miles today to use the gym so you can imagine Im pretty disappointed at the way I've been treat.
Obviously the gym doesn't need my money.
Not impressed at all.
I find it quite ironic that in the interest of safe guarding you ask people to not use their phones and staff members openly use their phnes pool side but then it's ok to have unisex changing rooms and people using their phones in them where children get changed
